I'm praying hard for a Gunner's victory :D (or really, just a Chelsea loss)

Cheering for Arsenal? DEAR GOD, NO!!

I couldn't ever bring myself to doing that, no matter how bad Man U needs it. :D

It's a loss-loss situation, really. If Arsenal lose, then we don't gain any points... and if Arsenal wins... then well... Arsenal wins... :(

yes, but what does that make the backstabbing friend of my enemy? or the enemy of the friend of my enemy? or the friend of the enemy of my enemy? It could go on...

    lol

I can understand Saph's p.o.v. I can pragmatcially stand to bear an Arsenal win, but I never want them to do well. Not only because of our supposed competitive rivalry prior to amabigrussianbitch but because the players and manager are so hostile toward us.

I don't mind seeing Arsenal win against Chelsea so long as they end up dropping points against Charlton.
I'm not too sure what would be best for us - if we're being optimistic, then an Arsenal win would be good for us because it would close the gap between Chelsea and us and we'd have a shot at the title.
On the other hand, if the title is already beyond us, and what we can realistically only aim for that second spot, then having Arsenal drop three points would probably be in our best interests.
I'm trying to be a bit optimistic so I'd rather see Chelsea drop 3 points, but for those of us who are undecided, I guess a draw would be the best compromise.

No need to view things in such a complicated way.

Even just purely through the counting of points, we all want Chelsea to drop them so we can creep up on them. Let's be realistic, not many teams can force them to drop points. Arsenal, Liverpool and us are the most likely candidates. If they don't drop them against Arsenal, life will be very hard on us. If they do drop them, it'll build pressure on them -- and they have to take that AND the pressure of the CL. It can only work towards our favor.

On the other hand, Arsenal dropping points would mean one less competitor for 2nd place.

I'd take a draw or an Arsenal win over the alternative.

Fergie said that he'll be cheering for the Arse, so that's good enough for me.

Personally, I would like to see Henry dribble past Terry and then embarass Cech. It's a dream, I know, but if the Arse wins I would like it to be demoralizing for Chelsea.

With Arsenal 8 points behind us with them having a game in hand, I'll still support the Frenchies in this match. Anyone who beats the Mafia is a friend of mine. Well not a friend but is better than the Mafia.

no, that wouldn't be possible, however i could see him giving up a penalty by running on the pitch to assault Crouch because Crouch was claiming to be the special one.

i am going to be rooting for the arsenal in this match. i believe a 1-0 victory will do the job versus a really stagnant attack by cfc. a goal from van persie.

    ;) :p

    You must've been a philosophy major.... ;) :D

I never want to see the Arse do well either... But if them winning helps bring us closer to Chelski's lead and puts another dent in Moronho's ego then I'm rooting for those diving frenchmen.....

Now that I've been thinking about it, I've come up with an even more demoralizing possibility. A goal by the softest players on the pitch, Reyes. If Chelsea gives up a goal to that little wuss, their entire season could crumble.
