Don't let it slip now guys.............HT DC 3 KCW 1 Go the Red and Black!! PS Listening to the game on my Laptop!!
YES YES YES Well done DC United on a great win! And with ten men as well. Plus having the first ever player red carded by a linesman! Okay not a good record to have but one set all the same Was a little worried when they signalled 6 minutes injury time but the boys held out............ Bring that cup home boys!! And bring the travelling 'Red & Black' Roadies safely home too! VAMOS UNITED!! PS If anyone gets the chance to speak to the commentator on the DC United Official Site can you ask him to 's l o w d o w n a l i t t l e' so this Brit can keep up please
My family couldn't understand why I was sitting at the table doing some paperwork, headphones plugged into my laptop and dancing around at the same time. Clearly they have had misled lives Celebrated with a couple of bottles of Guinness as well which I had been saving for a special occasion. As it looks as if Forest are NOT going to provide me with any this season, unless of course, a miracle occurs (Crystal Palace last year springs to mind) then my other 'team' were toasted
I have a question for you - Did you have any interest in DC or MLS prior to the Forest friendly, or is your fandom directly related to that match? If the answer is the latter, then it proves these international friendlies are very worthwhile.
Brillant! Atta way to start the rehab ... Guinness and dancing! Woo-Hoo! Man am I sore this morning -- reminds me of the day after spring practice (in American football). I must have been celebrating pretty hard. My memories are a jumble of hugs, sobs, screams, hi-fives, leaping chest slams, and (apparently) lifting people into the air for I don't know how long -- but I was one of the last outta there (imagine that!). Whew! GM
You were in fine form last night.. I saw you lift Begbie, Srdan's girlfriend (dont remember her name), my nephew, Oscar, and who knows who else...suppose that not having the drum leaves you with energy that has to be spent somehow.
To be honest, because of the Ben Olsen and Forest connection, I was 'aware' of DC United and the MLS teams but didn't follow it very closely at all and was not a subscriber of the message boards. Indeed the friendly international was VERY worthwhile because without it I would not have made so many friends and now following DC United as my 'adopted' team. But a ton of credit also goes out to Rob and Monica for looking after me and my crew whilst out in the US. Love ya all to bits
Not in the newspaper I got but I didn't have time to hobble down to the news agents so didn't have time to 'browse' the tabloids!
While we were waiting on Eagles to get out of supporters summit on Saturday so we can go set up all the banners a fellow from BBC came by and chatted with us for 10 minutes about cup, MLS and DCU, he's covering cup for BBC. We made sure to mention Barra Brava few times Charlotte Please tell me someone got pics of Tommy getting on table
Hopefully some of United's winning ways will rub off on Forest, heres hoping! In any case, at least now you dont have to feel so bad about losing the 'Across the Pond Cup' on PKs, to the Champions of America
That is the wierdest image I have ever had Dave. Just can't really think of you dancing. By the way. Watch the match on Friday, the protest may be more than mentioned.
The one and only . Now, I've got to think of something to get the image of P.R. Dancing out of my head.
This will get that image right out of your head --- last night Chico promised to run down the street naked if The Strongest win one more game! ... of course, the cure may be worse than the infirmity! GM
Oh My God........................It would certainly be a 'classic' for the Barra Brava Photo Pages though wouldn't it Can just imagine the headlines now "Cheeky Chico gets Cocky"
