OK, it's the demoralized and devastated Rapids, granted...

    But really, just asking.

Don't have an answer. Just have the question.

It's a fair question. Same can be said for Faria, and for Whitfield when CJ comes back. I think you have to try the same lineup, with Brown at right back, against San Jose to see if it wasn't a fluke. Then take it from there.

    FWIW:

"Midfielder Andy Williams scored the game-winning goal three minutes into injury time to give the host Jamaica a 3:2 win over Nigeria in a friendly tonight at the National Stadium in Kingston."

Faria sits ... Williams sits. Simple as that.

If Damani Ralph won 15 balls last night - and I think he did - that's 15 more than Faria won in 5 games.

Williams adds little in the way of grit, and that's how the Fire will be winning games this year.

I agree... sub CJ for Whitfield against San Jose, but other than that, no changes. Although maybe the back line should be readjusted to put Boca and Perez on the flanks rather than have Carlos as a center back. (Boca...Curtin..Brown..Perez) That way Boca and Perez can use their speed/mobility to push the ball up the sidelines.

Also, how about more playing time for Jaqua? It was just a slight lack of timing that cost him a good shot at goal in the final ten minutes. But he recovered the ball very nicely and showed some very good footwork and ball handling skills for a player his size. How are we going to be able to fit him in on a more regular basis?

  6. It's hard to argue with how good the team looked last night. I gotta agree with giving this a shot again to see if it holds up. But Dave better have an alternate in mind to switch to if it isn't working against SJ.

    Yep.

Along with other important soccer technical skills -- such as hard work, elbow grease, grinding -- that sort of thing.
