I watched parts of Chicago-DC and almost all of San Jose-Los Angeles. I'm not really pulling for any team, although the constant bitching by San Jose's players (mostly Baby Jesus), media (see recent articles) and many fans is enough to make me lean towards Los Angeles in that series. Plus Donovan's constant complaining on the field makes his quick departure attractive.
i haven't watched any games, mainly because 1.) i have a lot of things to catch up on that i haven't done the last couple months b/c i've been watching a losing team play and 2.) because i can watch teams like arsenal, chelsea, etc. play. who would you watch? but if i had to cheer for someone: SJ-LA: I go LA. i hate baby jesus whining more than ruiz's gutless diving. plus LA, when on, plays a more attractive style. KC-Colorado: colorado, so preki can retire more quickly. though i quickly tire of hearing carrieri claim how good he is and how "Mark Chung is the best midfielder not called in for the US". NY-NE: i can never, ever, EVER, vote positive for bradley ball, clutch and grab, studs up challenging. new england does the same but just on a lesser level. DC-Fire: wow, tough call. do i vote for hitler or pol pot? i'd say have both lose.
I agree with FF and others about Donovan. 3stripe and I have argued about this a bit, but i hate Donovan so much I don't even want to see him in a US jersey. His complaining and sense of entitlement makes him by far the most aggrivating player in MLS. I was sorta pulling for Colorado, but Hankison benching Garlick makes me hope that they exit soon too. I'm not really rooting for anyone as much as I am rooting against DC and certain other players.
He's a no class san jose cvnt. It seems that he whine's to the referee's as much as Etcheverry in his heyday. It seems as though he believes that he is doing MLS a favor by staying here, and not riding the pine in Germany so he thinks he should get every call. I can't stand the little bastard.
You'll see it when Donovan plays for the US. He gets a slight challenge, falls over, then complains to the ref when the "play on" sign is given. Of course in MLS, play will stop, a crowd will gather around him... Better the Galaxy go on than the Pukes.
Eggy has a thing for her. As for the topic here, I haven't watched much but I do want to see DC and SJ get thumped like cheap meat so I'll probably check those games out.
You didn't know who was playing ?!?! Everybody but the Crew and Dallas... did you just come out of a coma?
i watched the chicago-dc game and the san jose-la game last week. i'll probably watch the games this weekend. it's funny watching ruiz dive. and ray hudson's antics. as far as donovan, he seems to be frustrated and maybe stressed out lately. he said earlier this season that he's worn out, and lately he's been pretty bitchy on the field. the kid needs some help, maybe he's goin through some personal problems?, for the good of the national team.
Not watching. . still keeping up with the scores though. .Also, I haven't watched MLS Wrap for quite a while. . it's still on right?
"care" is probably too strong a word, but it is soccer. I've been watching some. Like most of you, probably rooting more against people than for.
Fvck The MLS Cup, Have you ever noticed how Keira Knightley sometimes looks like a different person in certain pictures? At the same time hot as *#*#*#*# in each one. Although I'm still loyal to my true love,
