“We have felt all along that the strength of this team is its depth,” Head Coach Mark Krikorian said. Which explains the lack of substitutes in the Power match...
I wish Kelly a speedy recovery. And once Kelly's healthy, keep her off that rug. Play Kelly as a super-sub, if needed, at home.
yes, let Kelly be a 30 minute player when she gets back... she's probably pigheaded and wants to play more, but tell her euro 2005 is MORE important... having her healthy for it, is the key...
In the grand scheme of the cosmos, performing before ones countrymen, for ones nation, is of more grand importance, than playing for money. That's my position... others could take the other position... but I find duty to country to be a more noble venture.
Six weeks, now... At *least*: http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/5828021.htm The very last sports brief.... Paul
Send any get well wishes or words of encouragement to Kelly by emailing her - kelly@kellysmithsoccer.com. You can also send her one directly through her website. I'm sure she'd love to hear from her fans at this disappointing time.
Well the Chicago Sun-Times is falsely reporting info then...in a small article they are saying Smith will dress up for Saturday's game. I wouldn't be suprised if she was there in street clothes to cheer on her teammates but in the articles you guys posted it's clear that she can't play now.
I saw the Sun-Times article and I couldn't believe it. Talk about doing a whole article for no reason.
at least it wasn't a New York Times plagarism!! all the news fit to print...even if someone else wrote it!! I wouldn't be surprised to see Smith be shut down for the season. Even if she does return in July, at most, make her a 30 minute player.
some Granbt Wahl on Kelly Smith... go to the bottom of the article to get his observation.. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/inside_game/grant_wahl/news/2003/05/15/wahl_insider/
