    This is more impressive than anything that happened on the field in college ball this year.

    A reserve on Yale's soccer team, Chris Wells, eanred a Rhodes Scholarship this fall.

    It doesn't sound like the kid played much this year, or even his first three years, but it shouldn't take away anything from this accomplishment.

    Anyone know the last time a D-I men's soccer player won a Rhodes Scholarship?

    Pretty interesting...

    I guess the US is the only country where soccer players who don't make the cut to play professionally have to settle for becoming doctors and lawyers.
