We will eclipse 10,000 per match attendance avg unless something goes horribly wrong.

Hey.....it's an increase over last year, although the home game vs LA would have been big (15,000) had it been played.

Considering how badly the attendance started out this season, I would say it was a decent rally. A few 15,000+ playoff matches and i'd say we are on our way to poor attendance recovery.

I agree LDB...Earlier in the season (when we were getting around 6K per match) Johnny Moore told us he hoped that we could average 11,000 a match, that would be a suitable step considering the new ownership got such a late jump promoting and we caught some lousy scheduling breaks (day games.)

I'm hoping that the sure-to-be-sizable crowd for the LA game on 9/21 is big enough for us to realize that goal of 11K/per match. That would be terrific considering the slow start!

You notice how animated the crowd gets when the numbers are up above 13,000? Becomes much more electric and spontaneous. I wonder what 20,000 would be like.

We would have to get about 24000 for the final game to have an average of 11K for the regular season.

Funny, I missed the last game against the Crew, but Bajoro filled me in on it. He said that the crowd was less into it because the extra 2k were youth players and their parents, and didn't know how to get into it. Maybe it was just the particular makeup of the crowd that night.

Anh said attendance totals are still awful, but hopes they break 10,000 to tell investors to hang in there.
Quakes have plenty of Anh's money and always will.

    Anh has spoken!

I don't know, the way that all the youth players on the field repeatedly chanted "San Jose! San Jose!" without assistance from the crowd or the Casbah before the players walked onto the field sounded pretty into it.

Not only that, but as well as a couple of chants, there was a wave started that seemed to be spontaneous, and it kept going. We don't keep those things going very often.
