http://fantasyfootball.metro.co.uk/ Register and join our group if you haven't yet. The code is on the original thread, or PM me and I'll send it to you.

The draft will reverse order in each even round, per usual. There will be 12 rounds. Draft turns will be on 10 hour clocks. At the end of ten hours, the next person will be allowed to pick. The drafter who missed his spot will be allowed to pick as soon as he returns. Send someone a proxy pick in a PM if you know you'll be gone for more than 8 hours!

    Begin!

    Press Release

The 1800-WorldCup National Federation are pleased to announce that Drafted Soldiers has agreed to manage 1800-Brazil.com in the Berlin 2006 tournament.

Drafted Soldiers will be revealing the 1800-Brazil.com squad to the media very slowly..... one player at a time, over a period of six to twelve days but rumour has it that there will not be any 'stars' from the so-called 'favourites'.

Well, picking 8th there won't be any left.

Aviators board of directors is scrambling to the phones (really PM's) to see if any other managers want to package a trade slot to move up to # 2 pick. For example, someone might offer their first two round draft positions to get the 2nd pick overall and a mid-to-late round pick.

Aviators is also looking for someone who speaks Portuguese. Assuming they still pick second, there has to be at least one Brazillain left and we need to commence negotiations before we draft someone who's already signed a letter of intent elsewhere, or just couldn't stand to play for a team named the Aviators.

Hmm, so theoretically.... If after 80 hours no-one has picked, Drafted Soldiers can then get first dabs on Yasser Al Kahtani.

Looks like everyone has registered at the league site except tomvandam and Forza Moskva. I've PM'd them both, so they should find their way here.

Also, I've PM'd ibreak4coffee to let him know his turn has begun. Let's make it a rule that as soon as you make your pick, YOU PM THE NEXT DRAFTER TO NOTIFY HIM THAT HIS TURN HAS BEGUN.

Wow... first pick! I got second in the Small Rocks and Lampard carried me to victory, now first pick... fantastic.

Obviously, it will come as no surprise to anyone that I use this pick for... will be back in a second to issue that pick

Press Release - FC Springfield becomes FC Canada

Coach Ralph Wiggum, fresh off a double victory in the Small Rocks and Rock Hard Championship Cup, has come out of summer hibernation to manage FC Canada for a chance to achieve the triple. "I'm honored to be here" he said while sipping some fantastic coffee, "and to prove I know the international game as well as the English one, I'm delighted to select Lama, Angola, 4.0 with my.... (microphone shut off... conference between Coach Wiggum and his PR flack Andre B.)

    (RETURNS TO MICROPHONE)

"Apologies to the FC Canada faithful... against my better judgement, I have been instructed by my boss - Montgomery Burns - to select RONALDINHO, Midfield, Brazil,13.0, with my first pick".... "well, at least they produce more coffee than any other country in the world"

    "Good luck to everyone"

    DRAFT

    #1 - FC Canada - Ronaldinho, Midfield, Brazil, 13.0
    #2 - Aviators -

Just a quick note that I will re-launch the blog for the World Cup and keep a spreadsheet of all player transfers and the draft. Will recap each round of the draft on the blog as well...

    Stopping The Clock

I don't think there should be a 10 hour limit on the next pick in line just yet....

Right. But nobody's impatient either, right? Because we all know there's no hurry & no pressure. Just got back from track practice, thought draft was starting tomorrow, so hold your horses everyone.

I guess this says something about how much faith I have in the USA this time around but...

    Buffon GK ITA 7.0

I was looking for the German that made that great save on the line to stop the USA from equalizing in 2004... but of course he's not a goalkeeper...

    1800-Brazil.com Losing Their Star Players

So far, not so good..... the provisional 1800-Brazil.com team managed by Drafted Soldiers is losing players as fast as Andorra let in goals.

    Ronaldinho Brazil 13.0 - Midfielder

Hal: (Aviators - Managed by Hal Jones)

Pork Soda goes for the home team hero, hoping he doesn't get booed out of the country.

    Ballack 11.0 - Germany - Midfield

Did anyone hear that loud, echoing crack? That was me slapping my bald head. D'oh.

In an open memo to all LSG Int. members, Coach Ingram reassured them by reminding them the team can't get relegated in this league...

so are we sticking with 11 managers or are we going to add a 12th? I might know someone who could be the 12th guy, namely my brother...
