I have gone ahead and made my rather dull yet exciting Haaland pick today.

I thought Fullkrug would have been added to the game today but I expect it tomorrow. I will go ahead and add him if so as it's better to include in the draft and I highly doubt he'll be in anyones top round picks.

Could not pull the Palmer trigger. Still remember missing his transfer to Blech by seconds.

I still need to figure out how best to coordinate picks with Tony.

I leave in 30 minutes, 930 AM EDT, and will be away from phone and computer until 3 PM EDT.

Hopefully Tony will make his pick before then.

I'm still struggling over who to pick next. Mulling over 4 players and I'm sure Tony will pick one of them.

I'll be out of pocket until 3 PM EDT which will be 5 AM at Keysersoze time. If the pick gets back to me by 6 PM EDT, I'll make my pick and Tony can make his pick when he wakes up, somewhere around 8 AM his time.

It is 4:45am in Sydney. Assuming that is where Keyser abodes. So we likely have a bit of time to ponder our next pick. That DeBruyne pick was a nice way to start the day.

I know proxies are hard this early in the draft. Too many combinations to consider far in advance.

As we get further along I would expect Keysersoze and journeymen to make use of proxies to keep this draft moving.

Perhaps, during the draft, Keysersoze could get up early and make his morning pick at 7-8 AM his local time. That's 5-6 PM EDT and gives us time to get down and back up so Keysersoze could make his next even numbered pick by about 10-11 AM his time. On odd round picks, if Keysersoze could get up early and make his morning pick at 7 AM his local time, it would allow for Journeymen to make his next two picks about midnight, before he went to bed.

Just looking for ways to work together with our time zone differences

To add to Hal's comment, I don't see any easy solution to working through the draft given the time zones and regular sleep patterns. Maybe there is another small window, but I believe there is only one hour total when every team is awake at the same time! (7-8 am AUS, 2-3 pm pacific, 3-4 pm mountain, 5-6 pm eastern, 10-11pm UK). By the time UK wakes up, eastern has gone to sleep, and then western and mountain are asleep with eastern wakes up, and AUS is heading to bed as western wakes up!

Hopefully everyone will--at a minimum--check first thing when they wake up to see if their up or it's close and end of the day before shutting down. And, as we're seeing at the moment, if we miss a quick run through several picks, we can end up with a series of picks where we're waiting for different people to wake up as the picks are lined up from UK to US to AUS in this 1-4 sequence and, without proxies, we may be looking at somewhere between 8-10 picks each 24 hours.....

I don't like proxies, particularly in early rounds, but if the draft is within a couple of spots of you and you're going to be away for 7-8 hours because your heading to bed or otherwise, please see what you can do. If it's more than a couple of picks away, I personally don't think proxies are reasonable, but I think this is going to be one of the trickier ones to get through.

Worst case, we can figure out creative procedure for some speed rounds or other solutions if we get to next Tuesday and still have a long way to go......

    Good night!

3am pick! I probably could have proxied this one. We might be able to round the bend. Wonder when our Mountain Time managers wake up or at least stir in the middle on the night.

Let me try again to understand our challenges.

    Looking at 8 AM EDT

It's David's move and I think he's in Europe, maybe Switzerland so it's about 2 PM his time. Don't understand why he hasn't made his pick.

It's 10 PM Aussie time so we only have about 2 hours for a rash of picks before Tony goes to bed, assuming he can stay up until his midnight.

It's 6 AM lobo time. So unless lobo makes a point to get up early during the draft here's another schedule delay. If he doesn't get up until his 8 am, then Keysersoze has already hit midnight, so getting back to him before midnight will be problematic.

I think Real Newark said he was travelling in England, so 8 AM EDT is about 1 PM his time.

at 8 AM it's 5 AM blechs local time. All that means is that we won't be able to get back to Keyser until he wakes up, For grins, let's assume he sets the alarm and wakes up at 7 AM his local time, which is 5PM my time, 3 PM blech time. and 10 PM for our European drafters. That means we only have a 1-2 hour window when everyone's available, then we are back in this slow morass.

Tell me if I'm missing something? Without the use of proxies, I don't see how we can complete this draft on time.

For the record, I am up every couple of hours during the night and can make proxy picks for anyone who needs them during that time.

Looking at the contact list, it has David Thomas in MST. I missed the invitation to the welcome to the USA party when David move to America. If true, that means that it's 6 18 AM for david and explains why he hasn't made his round 3 pick. He's still dreaming about who he's going to pick when he wakes up.

I just thought of the solution to our drafting challenges. No one is allowed to sleep until our draft is over!!!
