yes...FAN BOOM...kind of like the fan boom that happened to your ragged club in the 60s...and kind of like the fan boom that Portuguese soccer underwent when back then all they showed was benfica games...monkey see-monkey-do....they only see and hear benfica coverage, that's all they want to be...and no, I'm not implying that benfica fans are monkeys

and don't counter this with "benfica got the coverage because they were the best team in Portugal at the time"...because, although they may have been...even if they weren't, they got the coverage because they were from a certain nation capital where unfortunately...everything is funneled from the periphery (see what you've done? you've got me incorporating political science and geography into this whole mix)

Yet when Benfica was facing some moscow team or whatever, RTP had hour long specials on the 3rd round game a week prior to the game

and now with Liverpool. Oh God, make it stop or should I say, Liverpool, make it stop

 

the 'Lisbonite' media has a vicegrip on Portugal's nuts...its ridiculous really...politically and in terms of sports...A BOLA and RTP lead the march

Lets put it this way......the reason why classicos stopped showing on public TV (RTP) is because of how bad Benfica did in the 90's. We could not have our channel show that Tripeiro propaganda.
