Are there any partley fans out there? His movements look so laboured and he is so slow. I'm sorry but elneny covers more ground and has a better shot then him. Partley is not worth 45 mil.
He's had several injuries and hasn't had regular matches since he came. Comparing Partey to Elneny, and arguing Elneny is better than Partey is a disgrace to the use of comparisons. Edit: Elneny does seem to take better shots than Partey, but I don't expect many goals out of either of them. In every other area, especially key passing, Partey is significantly better.
88' and just awaiting the whistle now. Hooray for our side! Dare I ask if/ hope this leads to any building momentum?
I had a friend who had it who was lethargic for a month or so, and had a couple flare-ups a few months after the initial illness.
That's what I kinda figured. I wouldn't bank on seeing Auba back this season, or at least not to anything like top form. We're gonna have to keep Laca fit and hope that the other chip in. Like today.
That was a big club's performance, which we have not seen much of for the last 5-6 years. Great performance.
I firmly recognize that Sheffield United and Slavia Prague are not elite competition, but it does feel nice to win comfortably in back-to-back matches scoring at least 3 goals and allowing none. When was the last time that happened? Whatever the answer, It feels like ages
If Partey is as slow as you apparently believe him to be, he must read the game extremely well to turn in a performance that included 5 tackles, 3 interceptions, and two blocked shots.
Mkhi would such a great fit in this team (as would Iwobi). Raul Sanllehi should be rehired just so he can be fired again. Also, let's not overstate this performance: xG map for Slavia Praha - Arsenalit's always a good day to score more than half of your shots pic.twitter.com/Oh17MlVjlz— Caley Graphics (@Caley_graphics) April 15, 2021
Just watching the first part of the game which I sadly missed earlier. I must say it looked a little stark before KO: Arsenal players took a knee while Slavia players stood joining arms… one day after one of their players was banned 10 games for racist abuse during this very tournament... not a great look.
I would say its a bit of both to be honest. I am actually shocked to say this but I like Xhaka at LB. Sure that won't last when we play someone with a quick winger etc, but him pinging long balls from deep suits him perfectly. Coming off injuries, still adjusting to the league, you will never see El Neny do the turn and inch perfect pass that Partey did V Sheffield U. He will be great next year, you will see.
I just watched that 10 minute period in the first half where we had 4 maybe 5 forays into their box, and put the ball in the net 4 times! (One of which was disallowed for a fractional offside) That was one of the most efficient, productive 10 minutes of Arsenal football that I can ever remember.
