There are too many posts in this gameday thread and I can't even read them all.

 

Here's an idea: how about making a constructive contribution?

 

Marta looked offside. But it's okay, I can't stand teams who rely too much on traps.

 

I was uber bummed last night when I discovered that my local Universal Sports channel was showing the swimming meet in Charlotte, NC where a certain Olympic medalist was making his competitive return. So I went to sleep.

I have a couple of questions. First, can anyone explain to me why Walsh did not play? She was not listed on the injury list so presumably she was available. Generally, when a team wins, the coach does not futz w/ the line up unless forced to do so due to injuries or something.

That leads me to question 2, Sawyers coaching and player selection (he's the GM, too) abilities and whether or not he's good enough.

 

I mentioned in the Gold Pride thread that I thought it was strange too, especially since the team Twitter had her starting right up to kick off. Then three substitutions were made up front, but she still didn't come on. Very perplexing.

 

Oh, the Twitter had her starting? Interesting. Wonder if there was some sort of injuryin pregame warm ups. And of course the Twitter doesn't follow up w/ a "we were wrong because...." post. Bah. I've not found the SkyBlue twitter to be all that informative.

 

Actually, last night it was pretty good and updated every few minutes. And it did say " we were wrong", but not WHY! (Bad hair day, perhaps? )

Not a word in the match report either.

(And anybody with half a brain realises that I obviously lost both halves of mine somewhere: I did, of course, mean the LA Sol thread in my post above. Callyfornia is obviously all the same thing to us Europeans. )

Yeah, I guess LeBlanc won't get suspended - I was going to ask the Commish about it tonight but My Daughter did not want to stay (Yes, I have no shame and alot of Nerve, chutzpah, an Iron Pair, or whatever you want to call it)

 

Where did you have a chance to ask the Commish something personally??

I went to the Indepedence news conference Monday night... I was going to hang out for awhile to see if I could talk to her and get a pic with her... but my daughter wanted to go.
