Somebody come up with a clever name, please.

Don't think we'll see too much activity this summer.

    A backup goalkeeper.
Someone that can play as cover for both fullback positions.
A center back that isn't made of balsa wood.
    Another attacking player.

We need an attacker badly. Or we badly need an attacker.

Shame if true, I think he'd be a really good fit with us.

I see Felix is compared to Rui Costa which is high praise indeed.

most Portuguese fans want him to stay in Portugal for another 1 to 2 years before he moves abroad but i can not see that happening, money talks

Given Renato Sanches's experience, who went Bayern far too early in my view, it may be a good thing for him to stay in Portugal and develop by playing as much high level football as possible. But as you say, £££ and €€€ talk.

    Need versatile attacker.
    Need fullback cover.
Wouldn't mind a creative and hardworking CM.

Also need to replace some of those that are leaving -- from Lovren, Milner, Sturridge, Moreno, Origi, Lallana, Milner there may be 1-2 left next season.

That would have been Fekir so somebody else, please. Also Brewster is coming through but he's still young and we need a real impact player.
    Rabiot?

Look for real upgrades, otherwise promote sprogs.

I would have thought a window that looked something like Werner, Rabiot, and Sessegnon would be pretty good, but then evidently Sess hasn't done that well and Werner and Rabiot look to be going elsewhere.

Surely I'm forgetting someone, did I miss someone with an "M" name?

Doesn't look like it... I'd be surprised if there were someone else for whom leaving was a realistic possibility. Anyone from the youth/loan ranks I guess, but not many others from the first team.

IT's pretty easy to score when the other team also dribbles at it's own defence as well as the attackers .... that lead in to that goal is funny.....

I wouldn't think Lovren is leaving.

Matip is getting old. That l;eaves VVD, Gomez and Lovren. Need to keep him and Matip, i reckon.

Matip is 2 years younger than Lovren.

That group is just who I could see a logical reason for allowing them to leave, those are the most obvious areas of improvement for the squad... I wouldn't be surprised if Lovren stayed, but if a CB left I'd rather he left. Matip is doing really well right now and seems a good partner/backup to play with either Gomez or VVD.

But yeah, of that list I'd think at least 1 or maybe 2 of those players might stick around depending on how the other summer transfers go.

Some of them are objectively just gone, I'd think.

CB next year: VvD, Gomez, Matip, Hoever

In a pinch also have Fabinho + other youth.

So not really any urgent need to add a CB even if Lovren goes?

I would only add if a top class player becomes available at a good price (ie an upgrade on Lovren/Matip to challenge VvD/Gomez).
