"Agoos, 34, tonight will take on the responsibility of stopping Ruiz, MLS's leading goal scorer who has recorded all of the Galaxy's four goals against the Earthquakes." For Quakes, it's win or lose home http://www.bayarea.com/mld/bayarea/sports/soccer/mls/san_jose_earthquakes/4121971.htm
Goose!! I love the Goose, but, seriously, I hope he gets some help with the fisher from Eddie. I still can't get over how well Eddie did with him in LA!
If Agoos marks Ruiz, the Ruiz scores yet again.... Hopefully, Yallop has figured out that Agoos cannot mark that little Fisher......
Ruiz is such a pest. I think they should get Ian to take him down. As Ruiz runs past Ian, Ian should trip him and pretend like nothing happened LOL!! That would be too hilarious!! --GO QUAKES!!!
It'd be funny up until the point when the ref sends him off. And the Quakes are left to play the rest of the game a man down.
I was going to say basically the same thing when I saw bpc's starter. Jeff needs Eddie not far from him to stop the little pike. Or is it a bullhead? Some kind of trash fish.
I was responding to the post where someone said it would be funny if Ian purposely tripped up Ruiz. I don't think that'd be too funny when the ref calls it and we're left a man down.
I agree. Let Jeffrey attempt the initial stop on the Little Flounder. If he misses, then Edward (who can keep with the LF better than James Conrad had shown before) will be right behind to assist in reeling Ruiz in.       Of course, if they both miss the stops, then it would be all up to Joseph (or Jonathon, if for some reason Joseph is unable to play today).       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Agoos is a tactical defender. He has a lack of speed, but makes it up with smarts and timing. Robinson has the speed and timing to cover an opposing player. He would be the one to follow Ruiz around. It is going to take a team effort from the defense, especially with Lionheart out.
