It’s just a few months away that we will celebrate the first time the Dutch had contact with what we now call the USA.
Many happening will be staged for that anniversary. Remember we were the ones that financed your independence and thaught you Capitalism. And we were the first to recognize you as an independent state.

Should soccer be part of the events to celebrate this oldest relationship you have?

What would be fitting soccer events in that context?
I would imagine that a soccer tournement in former Nieuw Amsterdam with Ajax would be a must be item. Would that attract any attention in terms of crowd attendance and media coverage?

A harbour city tournement with Feyenoord (obviously we wouldnot take part in a Nieuw Amsterdam tournement ) would also be a possibility. What ports do have MLS teams?

And where would a USA- Orange clash draw the biggest crowd?

What are your thoughts about this and is it time to start canvassing now to get it realized?

Sound like a good idea to me,

A game between Ajax Amsterdam and Red Bull New Amsterdam for the Peter Stuyvesant Cup somewhere in Manhattan.
