Most of the bad results were right after the World Cup, which is understandable. This one though can't be blamed on World Cup hang-over. ugh! Portugal goal and red-card for Bosnia. Game over. The diving cheats are going to Euro 2012. Edit: Although Bosnia cut it to 3-2 with 10 men. Edit2: Grrr... 3 quick goals for Portugal. 6-2 now. These are the kind of games Ronaldo shows up for.
would you really want to fly over to costa rica for a meaningless game in the middle of the season? But at anyrate, embarrasing game for the team.
Argentina came back and won 2-1 -- Messi scored the first and was instrumental in the second that was scored by el Kun. Alexis Sanchez playing right now for Chile against Paraguay (Chile up 1-0 in the first half.
Before anyone gets too excited, the Messi goal was a howler by the Colombian 'keeper. Second goal was a very well worked play though. So still lacking confidence, as is the entire team apart from maybe Aguero. Meanwhile, Chile and Venezuela both a bit lucky to win their home games. Alexis played a solid 90 though which is a good sign.
Jose Mourinho's secret goal of destroying the Spanish team is coming to completion. Well, I'm half-joking.
Crazy story out of the Bundesliga, the Köln match suspended after an attempted suicide by the ref! http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/...gne-mainz-postponed-referee-bundesliga-111911
a shame, the ref had no personality to call that clear handball. If Madrid keep playing like this we'll be catching up to them pretty quick so im not too worried.
I certainly think Valencia held back, considering how important their next CL games are. Can't really blame them. Madrid are very beatable if you play a good possession game. You just have to finish your chances, because they will finish theirs. If Valencia had been more composed early in the game when they had a chance or two, thinks would have been much different. I hope we don't buy Jordi Alba, he is a great player, and I would hate raiding another La Liga team from him.
Its a shame you ignore the fact that Valencia had players who should have been sent off and focus on play at the end of the game which is controversial and not clear. I have seen the 'hand ball' several times but the view points which have been shown do not show clearly if it was his hand or chest. It was a tough game and we (Madrid) were fortunate to get 3 points but we weren't given anything from this ref.
That blurry pic is your proof? I am open to the fact that it might have been a penalty but that pic is not proof, if anything it shows his arm behind his body and the ball in front which is consistent with what he said after the game. The replays on ESPN were inconclusive as is this photo.
Man, that wasn't ball to arm either. It would have been ball to arm, but he twisted his hand up there and slapped it in!
When did Gary Neville start commentating for skysport? sounds so weird :/ .. anyways come on Liverpool!!!
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpYxxyYLg4Y&feature=channel_video_title"]La No Mano de Higuain en Valencia Real Madrid - YouTube[/ame] Watch the video above buddy, Higuain clearly moved his arm to block it. But again I don't complain in the Madrid forums to 'debate' whenever you guys call us divers, refs being paid, or w/e so I'll stop.
Its one of those cases where every camera angle gives a different story. I thought it was a PK at first, but then the camera from behind goal showed it was 100% ball to chest, so yeah, kinda hard to tell. Soldado, Tino Costa, and Albelda should've been sent off much earlier on though...
You do know you're looking for the *one* angle which shows a clear view, right? Not for it to be equally clear from every angle.
If that was a Barca player I could picture Madridistas bitching about it everywhere on the internet, claiming conspiracy.
