While most of our attention lately has been focused on the grim prospects of an away-away series I have a different problem. I am very happy with the addition of JMM and the trimming of some much needed fat but I am unhappy with the trialists brought in by the Revs this offseason. Look at who DC, LA, Col, Dal and especially the Metros have held trials for and it's appears the Revs are missing the mark again. I read today that Nichol was not satisfied with what he saw from the Argentine Vet/Uribe or Bulhman so I'm hoping that Nichol/Sunil will try and use the ties they have to bring in a better brand of trialists. We should have somewhere in the 125k range and that should be enough to add an impact player. Couldn't we play Tyson Nunez/Twellman up top with Moore in a Nowak type role?
with an SI spot opened, Nicol plans to bring one more trialist next month. Hopefully this one will be the answer. Uribe was off, Vasquez was closer, maybe this guy is the right one. I'd still like to see just a little more depth at the left mid. I know Noonan has been playin great (his preseason sounds like twellmans of last year) but Griffiths and Kamler doesnt cut it for me. If we can get a better offensive left mid for Griffiths, i'd be pleased.
What does Griffiths make in terms of salary? He's reminds me of Evan Wise. He looks great, but gets very little accomplished.
