Ole interview on G Nev and Carraghers show is pretty damning on the scouting and current players. Ole says that several times he asked players to be captain for games and they had other coaches come tell Ole they didn’t want to be captain. Shows how mentally fragile the squad is. Says he asked club to sign Haaland while at Molde and again when caretaker and the scouts told him that had enough reports on him and weren’t sold on him. Also says it was a mistake to sign Ronaldo. I still don’t think he knew about Ronaldo being signed until it was too late. Also said he knew at halftime of Watford that he was done. Had a go at the players because some of them had quit trying and caring. Told them to put their hands up if they wanted to play and made some subs.
Yep, I’m saying a still don’t believe him. I think he’s trying to take responsibility for everything that happened. I think Ronaldo was happening wether he said yes or no to it.
