It hasn't been 3mos yet btw, since he had his surgery. And while he's probably not 100% yet, he definitely look well on his way back. That's simply amazing and another testament of the fighter he is.
Back where he belongs, amazing reception! A special moment at Old Trafford. #MUFC pic.twitter.com/vU8YWstnk1— Manchester United (@ManUtd) September 22, 2018
********ing legend. It's crazy how someone you've never met before can mean so much to you. And even crazier when you think that this great man has had a similar impact on thousands of other people. What a human.
"It was also enormously unhelpful that David Gill departed as chief executive at the same time as Ferguson, robbing the club not only of a partnership that worked but also of an extra layer of experience. That mistake, more than any particular managerial appointment, is perhaps key to what is now seen as a bungled succession."

There's little doubt that if it was completely up to him, he'd probably keep on managing to day. It's amazing to me that he, just like Bobby Charlton still to this day attend so many of the team's games. There is no doubting, after all these years, their love not just of the game, but in Manchester United.
Ferguson also surely understood the glory of going out on a high was a much better way to end his career than taking the path that Wenger took, hanging on for hanging on's sake.
Trying to decide if I should pick up SAF's book on leading or his most up-to-date biography. Thoughts?
An inquiry is under way at Salford hospital as SAF's medical info has been breached. www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-manchester-46419646 The only apparent reason something like that would happen, would be to sell it to the press. No decency left, hopefully they'll figure out the culprit.
Disgusting. (See above.) Sir Alex was in San Francisco a year or two ago to pitch his book. It was an interview format a theater near the opera house. Even now, all of us in awe of this man, we cannot fully appreciate what he meant to the club and the sport. And to sports in general. There is only one man, in my estimation, who was a greater manager in sports — John Wooden, who coached the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball team from the early 60s to mid 70s. Coach Wooden taught men the primacy of a life well lived. Ferguson taught similar values, though not to the same degree as Wooden. It’s probavly safe to say that there will never be another Wooden, nor another Ferguson.
Reportedly SAF is back to having a more active role Was consulted by Ed on Mou sacking and Ole appointment and there is an open line between Ole and SAF. Not hard to imagine what he told Ed on Mou given he wrote the words below. Fantastic to hear that one of the wise old men is back and is partly involved (even if just being consulted) steering our wayward ship and that his principles are back as the blueprint going forward 1077142540757991424 is not a valid tweet id
SAF reported to have been invited to attend training today ahead of game tomorrow. https://www.joe.co.uk/football/sir-alex-ferguson-ole-gunnar-solskjaer-213763
Very happy I found this. NBC showed it last week on Boxing Day and only caught the latter part of it. Worth watching for sure. Happy birthday, Boss.
Goosebumps. That is all. Have a great day, Sir Alex ♥️ pic.twitter.com/3I6cs1BKc5— Manchester United (@ManUtd) December 31, 2018
Not sure exactly where to post it, but probably the best thing for the club in quite some time is a return to our roots. Obviously OGS is a big deal, but the fact that we have Carrick and Phelan also working with the team means that for the first time since Ferguson has left, we have both an understanding of how to win and how to play the United way. Moyes was the worst thing to ever happen to the club and his cleansing of all Ferguson's staff remains unforgivable. I'd watch an hour long video of him falling down steps if I could.
I will never ever stop being amazed by this ! Happy 77th birthday to Sir Alex Ferguson. 🎉In his 26 years at Manchester United - 🔴 Games: 1500✅ Wins: 895🏆 Trophies: 38The best ever. 🐐💪 pic.twitter.com/6nteJBbMGu— EPL Bible (@EPLBible) December 31, 2018
and he did it with varying levels of talent, varying styles of play, with high expectations and not always with high investment.
