"deep in the heart of Texas" would be good for the people outside of ta/eb. if nothing else, they would clap along.

    ...long live the matadors.

I like the idea of "deep in the heart of Texas", heres an idea for the first couple of lines:

Orange will fight, and win tonight, (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap), Deep in the heart of Texas
We want a goal, Go Dynamo, (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap), Deep in the heart of Texas
We'll sing tonight, with Houston pride, (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap), Deep in the heart of Texas
We are the best, in MLS, (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap), Deep in the heart of Texas

Quick suggestion but it's simple, a cultural icon of a song and easy for non-singers to do.

I love the update!!!!! We may even want to consider putting the following for the second line of the song
Queremos Gol, Dale Dynamo, (clap) (clap) (clap) (clap), Deep in the heart of Texas.

If we get this thing lauhched, Im positive the Front office will put it on the big screen if we so desire to ask.

I like the little twist CeltTexan put on it. And edotime, I really like what you've come up with here.

It's short, simple, to a tune that almost everyone knows. One of the few that I've seen that I think might actually work. I think we should really push for this one guys.

in my case i speak español(castellano) so i don't have a problem with spanish chants, though it feels kinda akward that you guys(non-spanish speakers) have to learn 'em in spanish, i mean when i see some of you singing in spanish it says a lot about your love for NARANJA, i mean it's your decision and i admire it, but i'd say if you're not comfortable with it all you have to do is come up with new english songs, if they're good EB will learn them too. EB is always trying to come up with new chants but the problem is that most people in 213/214 don't visit the EB forums. everything needed is available in eb.com

I do know Texan Marines do sing this song alot over in middle east. My cousin is a Marine Sniper and told me that they sing it at night to remind them of home! He said he taught his spotter the song who is from California and never understood why we are so in love with our stay......now he knows! I met him and we took him to New Braunsfels.....he now knows how beautiful our land and women are lol!

Song sould represent more were our Players Come From and not the State we are at. Everyone knows We Are From Texas!!!

Spanish and English go a long way but it should not end there.
Houston is Multi cultural city so our song need to be the same!

He can score and use a broom handle just like Akeem!

Let's just imagine that our club is like Atletico Bilbao and they are all our local grown guys. So we will sing to them in Spanish and English all about Houston and Texas.

Yep, it was out at the tailgate area pregame and then in 214 for the game.

Zimbabwe has a very distinctive flag.

Speaking of said country, check out this article re: 2010 World Cup. Seriously (and sadly), given the current state of that country do they really expect lots of foreigners... especially Europeans who will likely make up a plurality if not majority of the tourists... to want to go/stay there right now anyway?

You do not have to go far to find horror stories about Zimbabwe.
