So I'm curious. What, exactly, makes Kazaa Lite "official"? Do I have to use it in order to post here? Do I get preferential downloads from other MVBM posters?
Where were you when we took the vote? Really, it's just that someone comes in here about once a month and asks what file-sharing software to use, and a few months back before the crash the most popular answer was KL. It's just a tired question, and instead of the old LimeWire vs. Morpheus vs. Kazaa vs. KL issue, I decided to name KL the "official" file-sharing software just so that we don't have to have this debate again. Besides, it's a good program. I leave it on all day when I leave for work just to see what gets hits. Seemingly every day someone else comes and downloads my entire Shuggie Otis collection. OK Go is also very popular this week.
Fair enough. I was just being facetious, anyway. I use Kazaa Lite, so I'm certainly not criticizing your choice.
I've found that WinMX tends to be better if you're looking for music, while Kazaa is better if you're looking for video.
Care to elaborate? Macs don't allow spyware to be installed? Do these programs run properly w/o the associated junk?
I still don't know what the difference is between Kazaa and Kazaa Lite. Anyone care to fill me in? I have had Kazaa for a while now and have no complaints with it. I think it is the number one file sharing program on the net which means it has the most users and therefore most files. What more do you want?
I just downloaded Kazaa, and it is much much better than Morpheus. It seems like it uses the same engine as the older Morpheus, but it works really well.
