And signs for A-League Perth Glory. Such a shame he got injured and never got a chance to show what he could really do in MLS. Ah well, guess we're back on the lookout for a left-winger again.
Y'know, Paul Broome hasn't played in a couple of seasons; he should be well rested and ready to play in '09!
So fill me in- how does he go? Obviously the pedigree is there- but from those few posts above me- it doesnt sound positive?
He only played a few games for us before he was injured. Actually seemed fairly promising from what little we saw, but he was not worth the risk when he hadn't made himself an important part of th team.
Bookmark this post: Expect a Victor Sikora NAC Breda jersey night sometime during FCDs 2009 season. It goes great with a Davino wig.
Stupid Wizards nothing. That was a three man thug job. F those muther effers!! Hope their team plane goes down in '09.
I read an article where Sikora is quoted as comparing the A-League to MLS in terms of the competitive level ... can anyone collaborate or expound on this? Mainly wondering how the A-League matches up against the MLS from a competitive and style of play standpoint.
IMO the A-League is a little below MLS as some MLS rejects have played there. like Diego Walsh for example. but I imagine it's improving like MLS is.
The A-League is somewhere between the TT Pro League and SPL. Does that answer your question? The Glory would be the equivalent of Hibs or Joe Public. it's also the Joker's hometown.
That is a good point you make. But I believe that Diego Walsh has grown as a player by a large amount in his time here. He didn't show much at all initially, but Adelaide gave him a chance and now he is a decent(ish) player.
he always had skill, I'm glad to hear he has improved. Being as that he played here in college I always had hopes for him.
Looks like Sikora is already getting starts at Perth. Subbed out in the 75th. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=253277&cc=5901&league=AUS.1
