I think I've mentioned at least a couple of times that it's an 'OFFLINE' draft (not list), but not sure if it can be changed.

Take a look at the league page:

If it can't be changed but the desire now is to use the list, then why not just shut the league down and set up a new one.... ;)

    Thumbs up on this one.

It needs to happen fast or we'll lose manager interest. Vegas already has cold feet (or scared that Lobo got in).

actually the password isn't the same there is a space after the first three letters. I just left the original league and joined the new one.

    Moving Over

    1800-WorldCup.com has moved over too.

There's no way I could complete a(nother) 'live draft' at this stage, with us hitting the road again on Saturday.

The list is the way to go and, to be honest, is what I thought we were signing up for in the first place.

    Grammarian's United - Jonathan Ingram
Gravel Crusher FC - Lobo Mojo

    Windsor Wanderers - Andrew Giffen

As the live draft isn't realistically going to happen, I do hope Hal, Jay, Andre and Craig decide to transfer over with us and submit their lists.

I will do so tonight. I had a problem last night trying to register... but apparently was entering the password as one word when there is a space.

Sorry, I've been off the grid for most of the last two days, and whenever I had a sec, my VSR draft had priority, so I didn't participate in the followup to my suggestion that we go with the auto list rather than the live draft.

After talking further with Hal, he and I agreed with what you have all come up with: 20 picks X 12 members would make for one long ass live draft! So we're both on board with the auto list as well.

Incidentally, I saw that I COULD change the leage settings to the auto list one, but since Michel has already started a new league, I'm fine just dropping the original one and signing up there. Fraser, Tom, and Hal also need to unenroll in the first leage and join Michel's.

If Vegas indeed drops out, maybe blech could take his place--didn't he offer to be a silent partner or something?

I need an invite though, right? Also, assuming we have the same managers, we're sticking with the original draft order?

ETA: I need Hal, Fraser, and Tom to leave my league first, or I can't leave, since I'm the chairman.

The credit should go to tarvinodos, for taking the initiative.

    ;)

Shame we didn't know that you could change things your end (but now we do).

I just got back from vacation. I will have to check the threads and the site.

It looks like only Fraser, Hal and I have a vestige on the old league. Of those only Fraser is in the old league. I will contact him.

The allocation starts tomorrow so get the list sorted out.

The thing I hate about the way the list-based draft works on PTG is that you can't set an order by position. I just went through a test by drafting in another public league and I got many of the guys I wanted but my team has some obvious holes because I got too many guys in some positions and too few in others. After you get a full 442, the machine then goes down your list with little regard for positional balance other than making sure that you have the required number overall. I tried to put a good mix of all positions in my wish list but I guess I must have ranked a few positions lower than others in my league so I ended up with either low quality guys in those areas or in one case just a single player for one of the positions. Compared to how list-based drafts work in NFL fantasy football, this is pretty primitive and arguably broken.

Am I in the right league?

I thought I switched to the new league and started making my list on that sight.

I'm logging off shortly but I'll be back on later. However, I'm down in Legoland for a short break and I won't be able to do much with my list. I'll have to make it an auto-pick. Do I have the option to do that?

We are doing a draft based on list. Everyone makes a long list for all of the positions and the computer does the work. The draft is tomorrow so everyone has a day to transfer in and out any available players after the draft. I just sent you a PM. Watch out the list is ranked so you have to put your lower priorities down on the list.

    Here is the League

    Windsor Wanderers
    Rockville Gooners
    Aviators
    Grammarian's United
    Gravel Crusher FC
    1800-WorldCup.com
    FC Springfield
    FC Long Beach

Sorry guys but I'm going to have to bail on this. I'll struggle to do a list tonight and I won't have a chance to do much tomorrow or Friday.

Wasn't expecting to be away with my boy this week but the opportunity couldn't be passed up.

    Once again, my apologies.

Just a quick note. The draft is tomorrow but its based on UK timezone and I'm pretty sure players will be allocated sometime in the next few hours.

You can let the computer just use the default list. It isn't horrible since it is based on last year's stats. The only thing that it will hurt you on is players that missed a lot of time last year, players who can be predicted to score less due to changes in management, position, etc, and missing out on players that are new to the Prem.

Ok. I'll enlist into the new league just now and let the computer strut its stuff for me.
