    dont think your alone.

With all infighting going on with Division 2 soccer in the US and the USSF getting ready to release new standards for Division 2 soccer, Im not sure any of the current leagues know where they are going to be next season!

My though is the new standards by USSF is going to force a few teams to drop down from D2 to D3. I wouldnt be surprised if FCNY was one of those teams. ,

I guess that this guy joining the Technical Staff doesn't mean they have replaced the head coach who left.

D3 doesn't sound so bad at,D3 (USL 2nd Division) seems to have hit rockbottom and IMO there are stable clubs in USL2.

Sometime I wonder if they will become a PDL Pro club renamed "Borough of Queens FC". (Since Their logo references the Borough of Queens)

Finally, I wonder if FCNY reads BigSoccer, FCNY gets bashed a lot. I would like to hear from someone directly in the FCNY organization to defend themselves.

    Bottom of the article.

I'm probably as surprised as anyone that they're saying they meet the new D2 requirements. I guess we'll see around November when next season's league should be sanctioned.

Did FC New York already sign professional soccer players for the 2011 season? I guess they should be able to draw an average home attendance above 10,000. If the Rochester Rhinos can do it, why not FC New York?

You know, I was actually curious how long it would be before somebody posted in this thread. I guessed opening day for FCNY.... if it ever happened....and the post would be an almost empty Shuart stadium.... with an alien spacecraft and a Leprechaun duking it out.... thats right the spacecraft itself, not even the alien.....cause thats all that would be of note at an FCNY game.

If these guys play anywhere it should be at Aviator field. I wouldn't expect more than 2k people to know this team exists, let alone 10k unempty seats at Hofstra per game. Gives the Boro Boys somebody to root for I guess.

Don't get me wrong, I'll go to FCNY games. But everything points to this venture being amateur.

So has FCNY done anything since announcing O'Riordan as the coach? Do they still have a contract with Hofstra to play games there?

Well I did Google enough last night to realize that O'Riordan is already gone and they hired a new coach, Weston from England.

Well, considering that the glorious FC NY are still looking for their 1st ever franchise win, I can understand why their coach was sacked (lol)

Well, they did field 3 teams in the super y league last year. So they have been doing something for the past year. So in some ways they are ahead other USL / NASL teams that have never had a youth set up.
