Saw a dude at a local brew pub around here who already had the Nwaneri 22 kit.

No, actually Lost Druid. Are you familiar with it? By brew pub, I meant place that brews their own stuff.

I don't drink, so I only know places that colleagues or Arsenal fans talk about. Don't know that one.

Chelsea fans seem upset that Santos isn't being given a chance at the CWC and are afraid he is on the outs. Could still be the Partey replacement.

Is he over 30 and washed? Thats typically the criteria with ex Chelsea players coming to Arsenal.

    Google is my friend:

Yes, Paul Pogba struggled with confidence during his time playing under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United. Several reports and player accounts indicate a lack of confidence and a strained relationship between the two.

Paul Pogba Opens Up About his Depression at Manchester United

""Returning to this club was always my dream," he admitted. But his relationship with José Mourinho became strained, and his role in the team changed drastically. "I didn’t understand what was happening. I went from being a key player to suddenly sitting on the bench," he explained. The lack of communication with the coach and the uncertainty pushed him into deep sadness."

Anyhoo...I keep reading reports that both the Sesko and Gyokeres deals are in jeopardy. It seems like we are playing one against the other, but I hope we don't end up losing either one.

My vote is for Sesko. We need a quality striker so literally any striker that is a level above Havertz will be a boost to the attack. However, I like the looks of Sesko and I'll also go with the manager who gets nearly always right save a few. No one gets it right all the time. Pep bought Grealish for 100m pounds for god's sake. Klopp was not immuned as well: Solanke, Keita, Szoboszlai,

You should go look at his stats during the season he was “depressed.” Also Mourinho was sacked that season.

Pogba’s issues were he never wanted to defend despite having all the tools to be a better version of today’s Declan Rice. Nothing to do with Mourinho killing his confidence.

Thanks, I'll ignore what he said about himself. I was obviously wrong. My apologies.

'Anyhoo', how much money do we have for transfers? The number I tend to hear is about 200m. How much was Zubi? Was it 40 mil or so give or a take. Sesko or Gyokeres will be 60 to 80 mil maybe for Gyokeres and north of 80 or 90 mil for Sesko or is that off? So that would leave decent money for a quality left winger.

Mourinho was sacked in December of 2018. Pogba had the most goals and assists he’s had in his career. That was the year Pogba said he was depressed. If you refuse to even think about this, then no one can help you.

I'm getting sick and tired of podcasts saying 'Arsenal close to Gyokeres?' or 'Sesko to Arsenal?' ever 12 hours. I realize its for clicks. Its tiring.

    Podcasts are the enemy.

There's enough going on in the summer that I just don't pay attention to the daily goings-on of transfer rumors. This thread is literally my only intentional source of transfer "news."

You gotta listen to better podcasts. :D
Blogs never engages in the "this deal is close" stuff. And Elliot has been cracking me up lately making fun of the ITK type headlines, e.g., "closely monitoring," "exploratory talks," "respectfully inquiring...."

I don’t listen to any podcasts. The whole medium doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest.

Fair enough. I like them for the gym and long car drives. Arseblog, Arsenal Vision, and (completely different) The Rest is History are my go-to's.

Zinchenko linked to Arsenal B aka Fulham. Supposedly want £12.7m and they want to pay £10m.

Also reports that Chelsea want £50m for Madueke and have talked to Arsenal who dont want to play that much.

Madrid supposedly want £77m for Rodrygo and he would want to be one of the top wage earners at the club in the range of £300k that Saliba and Saka are asking for.
