Fab says that Real are considering playing Nico's release clause. Very interesting considering how many right-footed W they already have on the roster.
I love Mann. Up until about The Insider I was deep in the bag for just about everything he did. Still feel Last of the Mohicans is criminally undervalued.
I had totally forgotten he did Last of the Mohicans. I enjoyed The Insider but it was very hyperbolic compared to the actual story. Yeah, I was a tobacco lawyer for a bit right out of law school.
Collateral for me That scene where Annie (Jada Pinkett) is on the phone and Max (Jamie Foxx) is outside trying to get her attention but out of focus is an all time horror movie scene.
Honestly, I remember Russell Crowe but other than that, the film never really stuck with me despite being on a topic I knew about.
Plettenberg now pushing the Rodrygo to Arsenal links. He doesn't have a good track record (especially outside of Germany) but he is the first "name" pushing it as a possibility.
He reminds me a lot of Gabriel Jesus. Both went straight from Brazil to a super club at 18, Rodygo is about the same age now as Jesus when he joined Arsenal. Neither one has been as productive as you would want, which probably explains why they were/are available. Neither has been allowed to play consistently at their preferred position. Difference I guess is Jesus' injuries, which could be chalked up to playing as an undersized striker in a physical league. Rodrygo is probably a safer bet playing wide but Madrid want more money. I think there could be valid concerns if he can handle a greater workload in the PL. I'm curious how his wage demands compare to Nico Williams. I'd be happy with him at the right price but don't think he's worth a bidding war.
This is up there after Heat and Manhunter and The insider. Collateral is unique because Tom Cruise plays for once, and very convincingly, a villain. The contrast of Foxx being a planner and getting nowhere in life while Cruise literally thinks on the spot all the time without planning leading to the 3rd act where Foxx has to improvise to survive is amazing. I'm yet to watch Ferrari btw. Anyone here seen it?
Collateral is unique because of its pacing and and its stunning cinematography against background of LA at night Great performances by foxx and bardem
Watts says..... - We have a pretty significant summer - If they agree Zubi before Club WC then we can file the deal towards last year's accounting and will help with this summer's PSR - Suggests that the Rodrygo interest is legit but will be difficult. Doesn't see us going in at 100m but maybe at 70-80m - Doesn't see us moving Martinelli unless someone blows us away with an offer. This was brought up based on prior convos of a need to move one of Marti/Trossard in order to bring in a new W. - Reiterates that Partey likely stays because both sides want it - Reiterates that Arteta says we need to add goals, creativity & depth this summer Other rumors..... - Supposedly we are in contract talks with Trossard. However, the claims are that we are offering him more money but NO extension. His contract expires next summer. If this rumor is true, it appears they are simply trying to "kick the can down the road" with his exit and make sure he stays another year for depth. - Seeing some claims (no one credible yet) that we have agreed on a fee for Gyokeres - French media is claiming that we have reached out to Ekitike
Getting the Zubimendi deal early would be big. I'm seeing increasing smoke on Rodrygo to Arsenal. Keeping Partey on to fill the Jorghino role makes sense as he knows the system and we weren't getting any money for him anyway. I'm also seeing reports linking Arsenal with Ekitike, Alvarez and others. I still think we're going to sign Gyokeres.
Orny says...... - Arsenal appear to be deciding between Gyokeres & Sesko - Rodrygo is very well liked at Arsenal - Huijsen was an opportunity pursuit and we should be focused on other positions now that he opted for Real
