Think Rodrygo would be a phenomenal fit offensively. Would be a bit concerned with his lack of defensive contribution at Real. That said, I agree with others that the cost wouldn't make sense given our other needs.
If he makes waves about not playing and wanting a transfer, the cost hopefully drops. It's hard to pass up a world class attacker.
If he's putting up numbers, I don't care if he doesn't track back as much as Martinelli. This team needs to attack more.
I could be wrong, but I dont see him as anything more than a rotational peice for LW, LCM and/or RCM. I also question whether he would agree to come to Arsenal to be a supersub.
The Rodrygo thing will linger all summer because nobody is paying Real’s ‘valuation.’ It’s a farce. If it gets late…the price will drop. I’d take him in a heartbeat at €70m. He’s never played his actual natural position at Real and he’s been great anyway.
Trossard, out. Sounds like he's gone. Mbeumo link now makes more sense https://t.co/LEN0sumoTg— 🦋 (@ruukayo_) May 18, 2025
Fab confirming that Gyokeres will leave Sporting this summer and that Sporting are looking for 60-75m euro
Buying Gyokeres is a two fer if it happens. If we don't buy him a rival will. Man Utd the driver's seat with his former coach there but he's gotta be thinking his former coach won't be there long. So, I get it that Gyorkeres is a good deal if we manage but I still prefer Sesko myself. Will I cry if we get Gyokeres? Absolutely not.
Billy Carpenter with his, as always, incredibly thorough scout of a player. This time it's Zubimendi... https://billycarpenter.substack.com/p/scouting-martin-zubimendi
You call that thorough? I'd say ridiculous! Wish I had time to read it but alas no. If anyone wants to do an executive summary I wouldn't mind.
Assuming we’re referring to the early Michael Mann pic with James Caan, I guess I need to revisit. Haven’t seen it in ages.
I feel like oceans eleven and the new Italian job are better examples of competent thieves in film. And, if we’re talking about competent protagonists in film, nothing beats John Wick.
It’s the template for 80s action movies with the score—since it was done by Tangerine Dream—cinematography and Frank probably trained Neil McCauley in Heat. I watched it a few years ago and was surprised by how much stuff that movie seems to have inspired. Michael Mann>>>>most of your favorite directors
