Crew.com is showing a MLSnet chat with Sigi on Friday at 4pm. Just a heads up after missing on the Clark Hunt chat from last week. Get your questions in.

    Posed 2 questions:

    1. State of Crew's discoveries for this year. Do we have any forthcoming? Rumor of 2 used at the end of last year, but had heard nothing since.

    2. Finding it more difficult than expected to recruit players to Columbus? Has the city/team grown on him any?

Coach we saw the beginnings of a good but young nucleus to a team at the end of last season once we started to get people healthy. What, if anything, have you seen in the development of these players that makes you think that we will be competitve this year?

Coach the current team seems to be more focused on thier performance on the pitch and less on an active nightlife and looking, mostly mistakenly, to their future with other teams in more high profile leagues. What has happened in order to get this mindset instilled in this team?

We seemed to focus our DP efforts on McB (and rightfully so it would have been a great pick up) but when that fell through there seemed to be noone else in mind. Is/was there a second choice and if not who might be a future possibility or even what position might you be considering using a DP for? Or for that matter, do you even think we need a DP player?

    I have posted all three.

I feel very liberated in this situation because in all the years I've been submitting a question to every single one of these things I have never once had my question used.

The temptation is to just ask "What color boxers are you wearing today, coach?" and be done with it. If they're going to ignore a question they might just as well ignore an obnoxious one.

But I decided to play it straight, and I asked whether he is comfortable going into the season with the inexperienced group of GK's he has or whether he's actively looking to bring someone else in, and also if all three current guys were healthy and today was opening day who would the starter be?

Just don't hold you breath waiting to see it: anything that comes in with "Bill from Uniontown" on the top gets immediately deleted by whatever Crew functionary picks the questions. It's a corporate rule.

    I asked 2

    1. I asked if he cared to address the comments towards him from the Jon Bush article in the Dispatch after he was waived. ( Which will not get used in the chat I am sure of)

    2. What is the status of using our Allocation or DP, are we looking at any players? (If used will get a generic answer of "we are always looking for players")

I asked whether Sigi is confident this year with pairing one of his young strikers with Herron? Or if they are still actively pursuing another striker to pair with Herron or to give them more options before the season begins.

Bill you should of asked who we were trading for Chris Seitz.

I've submitted around six questions. Attempting to break my record of having three questions answered in one chat.

I asked if Sigi had picked out any names yet.
From what I've seen, he's got to be getting close.

Dear Sigi, as we all know, it's that time of year again when we all must make difficult decisions. So, I think we all want to know, just exactly how many boxes of Girl Scout cookies you have purchased this year or intend to purchase in the near future?

Edit: Follow-up to that question; will the use of an allocation be require in order to fill this void in the team?

I don't think we need to go there, not that he'd respond. I've seen some good questions above and I hope some of these good questions do get answered during the chat

    Decent questions actually, especially mine.:D

    Highlights for me were:

    1. 4-3-3 is confirmed as likely.

    2. Brad Davis is coming off his early injuries, but still facing evaluations.

    3. Virtuous is being handled with caution, after suffering a strained MCL.

    4. His son is obviously engaged or at least being pressured.

    5. Herron to clearly be the center forward, with Kamara, Garey, Chandler pushing for time and minutes.

    6. Leadership? Starts and ends with Frankie in his answer. Does this mean diminishing time for Duncan?

    That's all I got.

I think we all kinda were guessing the 4-3-3 but you are right that does confirms that. I think the rest have answers that we could have figured out without Sigi telling us.

Well slap my ass and call me Sally!

He didn't answer the second part, but he seemed fairly definite that he's ot the guy he wants.

It must be Hesmer, doncha think?

Apparently there are clubs where you can get that done. For a price.

It seems to point to Hesmer. However, he needs to get fit pretty quick otherwise it is Andy G's to lose.

Actually, it appears that 'Bill from Unitown' stole your question.
