And one of the big knocks on Sigi here was his (purported) inability to develop young talent....

Awesome! That will give him plenty of U-20 scouting exposure so he can draft the talent for the Galaxy after he gets his old job back when Doogie gets canned.

He's prolly one of the best talent scouts in the country...but he should be no more than that! Sigi is not gonna do any good for the U-20's as a coach. He might bring out some good talent to the camps...but if he were to get too involved, he'd prolly mess the program all up. Teaching those kids how to play "professional longball."

I doubt he gets back with the Galaxy, even with no Hamilton around. Sampson will have that position longer than Sigi did.

This is a prediction of almost Biblical proportions.....

And, good stories both on Sigi and the playoffs in today's LA Times. A cut above their usual. Time to write nice "thank you" letters to LAT for improved coverage.

I'm kinda fond of Sigi's current gig. His commentary on FSW has been pretty good and informative. Not the most exciting color man, but his analysis is actually useful.

Plus he had that great on-air slip last week when he called that little turd of a ref "Richie." He then admitted the team used to call him "Richie Williams" because he looked like the ABMOD himself.

    Heh.

You are incredibly right. I mean look what he did last time he had the job. He totally screwed up Tim Howard, Taylor Twellman, Carlos Bocanegra, Steve Cherundolo, Nick Garcia, and Dan Califf. I hope another group a kids like that never comes out of the U-20's again.

You just make no sense man.
