As many people are probably aware, several months ago Cardinals pitcher Darryl Kile died of a heart attack at the age of 33. The Cardinals are in the playoffs against the Arizona D'Backs. A Phoenix DJ, Beau Duran, calls Mrs. Kile and asks her if she has a date for game!! I've heard of some sickening stuff by shock jocks, but this is simply evil. The radio station first said that they wouldn't do anything. Now they've suspended the guy. Frankly, anything short of firing is not good enough. The story: http://espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2002/s/2002/1003/1440987.html Here is the radio station web site: http://www.98kupd.com/ Even if you don't give an F about baseball, we can't tolerate this kind of behavior.
I heard about this while listening to the Dan Patrick show today. All I can say is that it disgusts me that someone would do that.
How utterly wrong. I DO wish this DJ would end up in a back alley with the Cardinal baseball team. A proper beatdown would take place
Soon to be followed by a firing, I ga-ron-tee. I'm happy to mosey on over to the website, apply some pressure.
the truly sad part is that the radio station wins big time here they are getting tons of attention and making their advertisers extremely happy... who cares if they have to fire the nitwit, he already did the station a huge favor the dj is horrible for having done this, but the station should suffer for having allowed a situation like this to have developed i still believe that budweiser should quit advertising through that station
There's an idea, why don't you contact Budweiser and ask them why they still sponsor these clueless idiots?
