If you also notice he has been on that list for a very long time Just something I came accross that I found amusing, seeing how soccer is not very big in the United States in comparison.
Whoa here! Man U was the 6th most popular sports search term on yahoo the day you visted it. Today they down to 19th. I think that goes a long way from actually saying that Man U is the 6th most popular team in the US. Are they very popular? Yes. the 6th most popular team? No. Did yahoo mave a lot of people search for Man U on their site? Yes.
Because that is American Yahoo. Australia, UK, and many other countries (something like 50+) have there own domain and that was not it.
Other countries have their own domains, but often people from those countries will still go to yahoo.com, the American site.
I guess that means we just need to do more searches a day for our favorite MLS team or MLS. If it works for all the other polls, it should work for this one also.
Yahoo is an American site (even the international versions) I'm not sure the percentage of people using yahoo to search in other countries is nearly as high as it is here. Also, for ManUre to get so many searches to compensate for poor search numbers here, you'd think they'd be at the top of every foreign search lists. But they aren't.
