Post a message of encouragement for the club that they play harder for their shirt than they ever have before this wednesday. Positive messages.

Take this seriously, and I will personally print them all out and post them somewhere the players will see them last thing before they enter the field.

Let's remind them what it means and how privledged they are to wear the jersey.

We're going back to basics all over this Wednesday. All about the pride.

Regardless of whether this comes off there will be a message to the team Wednesday before they take the field.

Well, all I'm gonna say is that now matter how the Fire does in this game, they're still my favortite!! You guys are the best, all it takes is a little more time to get back into the habit of winning :) Just think about the 4-0 win over Jabloteh (sp..) and you know what to do!!

At this rate maybe this club is not what we're cracked up to be.

Come on. Just a line or two. Motivate your team. Show them how much it means to you.

    -----

Go out, and play for the name on the front and not on the back. Take pride in your colors and play like this is your only chance, regardless of result. Show us how we know you can play.

Guys - this team is my life. I hate not being able to be at this game, but I'm pulling for you.

Win it for all of us.

I believe that everytime the call goes out asking "Who's the Best?", the answer to the question is absolutely unequivocally "FIRE"!!!!! I don't care what the scoreboard says, you guys are the BEST!

Four tough games is enough. This team has never backed down from a challenge and we aren't about to do it now. Winning a championship whether it be MLS, US Open Cup, or CONCACAF is tough. So is the Fire. Be the team we all know and care about and get the job done. The Fire is the best. Always

There's a number of bright, promising and intelligent fans who literally spend large chunks of their lives trying to figure out if there is anything (and I mean anything) we can do to give the team even the smallest extra boost of energy. There is an amazing amount of dedication among the Fire faithful, and there's a lot of us who are proud to name ourselves among the Fire faithful. The team should know that no matter what the score is, we will always be behind them, doing our best to support the Fire with mind, body and heart.

    Who's the Best???

I now live 2,000 miles away, and while I can no longer attend home games, I follow the team rabidly. My 7 yr. old son saw his first match at Soldier as a toddler and is now an ardent fan who follows the team as closely as I do and is heartbroken every time we lose. We're behind you every time you play.

Show us that you care about this team as much as we do.

Know that we're with you every step of the way, and we will support you to the end, win or lose. If you ever need that extra bit of strength or motivation in a tough match, take a look at us over in Section 8 cheering our hearts out...see what you're playing for. Take pride in the patch on your shirt. Dig deep and give it everything you've got. You're the best - it's time to prove it.

[I found this not to long ago, it's a banner seen at an EPL game. I can't remember if it was from these boards or an MLSnet columnist, but I think it's appropriate at this point]

We dream of playing in the shirt.
    Today, God chose you.
    Play like we dream.

Oh Zoroaster, look down on your
    Devil-spawn
    the Fire
And may they be bless'd with goals
And let them not fall into despair
    For if they grow pathetic--
    They will be less Hated.

This is the right sentiment for the message I'm putting together but not the right words. That I'm working on but I think I am close. In fact this was the sign I was thinking about yesterday when deciding to do this.

Some may think this idea is lame, but it's apparent both that there are people that want to take this seriously, and I know for a fact the players would appreciate it and be motivated by it. If you don't like the idea, don't participate. When I talked to DJ at the lunch recently that just revitalised me cause I hadn't heard what it meant directly from a player in awhile.

"Get a life" is sort of funny. I have a great life, and this club is a very large part of it. I'm proud of that. You all should be too.

Keep sending in messages and I'll hold up my end of the deal.

Seasons are won or lost in single moments. Wear the shirt and make us proud.

I think that considering this team travelled 9,000 miles to play 3 games in 8 days last week, that it's a little insulting to question their pride.

To paraphrase Lee Elia, "You got these guys are busting their ********ing ass and you people boo. And that's the Fire? My ********ing ass."

Yeah, but the whole point here is we aren't questioning its existence. But there is a question of its prevalence, and the players look like they could use a kick in the ass.

I refer you again to the comments of CJ Brown:

Additionally, this isn't like this was just this past game. This has been going on for a month, now. I guess with the first few games we may have dismissed it due to early season jitters but it became very apparent Saturday in front of our faces.

4 games. Zero goals. Zero drive. Factor in the first round of the CCC and aside from the second leg match versus CLF San Juan Jabloteh (and even in that game we weren't awesome by our standards) we haven't been ourselves since Day 1.

Personally, I think we need to say something to tell these guys we're behind them but we expect a lot more, and I don't see anything insulting about that.

Win, lose or draw, the Fire is my favorite team!

It's not been the best 4 weeks for the men in red; however, it's time to keep your chin up, pull up those boot straps and play like the Fire are capable of playing!

The past is just that, now let's move on and kick some arse!!!! Cover the back line better and keep on shooting. The more shots you guys take, the the better chance goals will come . . . . FIRE away for the rest of the season!!!!!

    Go Fire!!!
