Should we take Iran off of the Axis of Evil? Their Supreme Leader said something or other that seemed reasonable, at least on the surface. At least, this is what an Iranian poster said, and translated for us.
We should probably remove catchy marketing slogans to define our adversaries, and recognize that: a) Iran isn't going anywhere any time soon; b) that Iran will have a HUGE impact and continuing influence on the Islamic Republic of Iraq; and c) that there is a significant reform movement from within that can be encouraged. To me that ads up to some level of diplomacy to start reaching consensus on common ground on the one hand, while monitoring and perhaps trying to influence in a positive way their stance on Israel.
