Has MLS ever had a player/coach? Certainly, he'd still need to take a paycut, but they might be able to dedicate some salary $$$$ to coaching activities and not allocate everything to being a player.
Yeah, they have, but not one as high-profile as Hristo or Nowak would be. Robert Warzycha comes to mind in Columbus, and I believe Frank Yallop was a player/coach in his last season.
Yeah, this is true. However we're talkign assistant coaches I believe. Zenga was head coach, and that's a whole different can of worms I think.
