We Don't Have A Real "9" On Our Team. Should Pekerman Give Palermo Another Shot? What Do You Guys Think?

In Relation With The Penalty Shots He Missed, He Was A Much Younger Player Then With Not Much Experience. Sometimes Players Need A Second Shot To Realize What They Have In Their Hands? Although I Agree With Leoriver About Zarate, That Guy Is F***ing Awesome.

Palermo hasnt done jack shyt since his old days in boca so what has he done to be called back? NOTHING ! !! Nothing in Villareal, nothing at Betis,a nd hes barely doing crap in boca now and if you saw his last penalties taking hes fallen down, comeon now this guys dangerous inn the air attacks but thats it if that now.

Like I said befoe Rolando Zarate has proven to everyone his talent a ability to score with both legs, headers, penalties, and free-kicks.

And if its not him Lisandro Lopez and then Diego Milito which everyone says hes tearing it up in Genova Italia

A principios de año, anunció que quería ser el goleador del torneo. Y va en camino de cumplir con su deseo: ya lleva 3 conquistas en 3 partidos. Para Basile, es clave.

sorry to all you palermo fans out there but martin palermo is shit. he played well for boca back in the day but after that he just completly flopped.
his name will never be mentioned for the national side ever again. there's way to much talent in front of him. and tbh, i think boca can do 10x better upfront.

Debate: "Para Palermo ... la Seleccion?"

La Red is reporting that since Crespo got injured this weekend, Basile might call up Palermo for the friendly against Spain. The reasoning: Palermo can play the superclasico against River this Sunday and then travel to Spain for the game, as he was red carded against Nacional and wouldn't play for the Sudamericana return leg. Basile is waiting for Macri's approval ...

    Bring the debate on!

I'm not going to turn this into a River-Boca debate, but Palermo already had his chance to shine and look what he did. Couldn't score a penalty if the goal was empty. Basile should be looking at younger players such as Cavenaghi or maybe even Frutos. Frutos has been playing very well for Anderlecht as of late. He scored in the Champions League against AEK last week. I'd actually give the nod to Frutos over Cavenaghi though. See bosteros, that's coming from a River supporter.

I think one more game for him in the national team before he retires wouldn't be a bad idea.

In all sports their are players that have been huge for club but never translated to the national team. That would be Palermo but that being said, we aren't exactly full of forwards that can play in the air. One more shot? Maybe.

If you guys hear about some Argentine kid in California who commited suicide after Palermo was chosen for the squad vs. Spain, you know who that is..
