BEIJING (AP) – A man with a knife broke into a high school dormitory and killed as many as nine boys as they slept – the deadliest of a series of knife attacks at Chinese schools in recent months, the government said Friday. Students injured in knife attack at Indiana high school Dispute over manners leads to stabbings . . . an unidentified man used a knife to kill a 22-year-old pregnant woman and her 2-year-old daughter in building 4689 of the Breton Court Apartments.
Knives don't kill people................. You enact a law "banning knives" and you make more lawyers rich with interpretations. There's enough laws covering weapons.
the next month we'll have ppl killing ppl with hockey sticks or baseball bats, what do you want to do then? Ban them from school? Looks good for soccer becoming more popular in the US than ;-)
There should be a seven day waiting period before someone can purchase a knife. That will stop knife-wielding assailants.
Well, we certainly should ban cigarette lighters because they light cigarettes which cause cancer and thousands of people die from that. However, we would have to allow a 30 day period in which the use of cigarette lighters to light Christmas candles would not be prohibited. Boy, the lawyers could REALLY have a field day with that one. Nutty!
Turkey dispute result in stabbings http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=55985 Ah, the holidays just bring out the best in everyone.
Re: Turkey dispute result in stabbings The dude touching the turkey with his fingers should've been the one stabbed. I'm for the death penalty when it comes to poor table manners. One of my relatives (who married into the family) has a father who always uses his own fork to put food onto his plate. I'm always eyeing him and make sure not to touch the food if he gets to the plate first. It's disgusting and revolting and makes me want to stab him with my fork.
Re: Turkey dispute result in stabbings Does he ever touch food other than what he's taking for himself?
Re: Turkey dispute result in stabbings Funny. Just this week I reading that news of the weird and they had this snip from the news where a woman stabbed her man when they couldn't agree on the proper name of Jesus Christ.
Only the crappy ones sold on infomercials. Klingon proverb: Four thousand throats may be cut in one night by a running man.
Absolutely not. The banning of knives is part of a vast conspiracy by vegetarians to impose their agenda on those of us who love to eat meat.
Re: Turkey dispute result in stabbings Here that are... People Different From Us Jackie Lee Shrader, 49, and his son, Harley Lee, 24, had a brief shootout with .22-caliber handguns, provoked when the pair confronted each other over how to cook skinless chicken for dinner (Bluewell, W.Va., September). And Niccolo Rossodivita, 62, shot Billy Cordova, 40, twice in the chest after Cordova followed him around their house prolonging their argument over Jesus Christ's correct name (Wasilla, Alaska, September). And Angela Morris, 19, was charged with assaulting her boyfriend by pouring boiling oil on him during an argument over a Bible verse the two had been reading together (Eugene, Ore., May). Re: Turkey dispute result in stabbings Yes. He rifles thru the meat, looking for a good piece and picking up 4-5 slabs in the meantime.
Indeedy. We've had a ban on carrying blades in my state of NSW for 6 or 7 years, which was brought in at the same time as new powers of stop-and-search for the police. There are a few exceptions, like if you're going fishing, and also professional exemptions (like chefs and butchers). It's a bit of a pain, like it's now illegal to even carry a Swiss Army knife around, or even something in your lunchbox to cut up fruit. I don't think it really bothers anyone, because it's really only enforced when someone does something to warrant being stopped by the police in the first place. The foremost guardian of civil liberties - cop laziness.
They have private underground whittling clubs, they're set up like old speakeasies durring prohibition where the tables flip around when the coppers bust in and they have a vacuuming system set in the walls to suck up the sawdust.
