crew fans, hey what's up? I'm a 25 year old male senior at UF in Gainesville. I love MLS, am new to big soccer, and with Tampa and Miami contracted, I need a new team. Should it be the Crew? I have MLS shootout and watch a helluva lot of games, but soo far i've had a difficult time rooting for specific teams.....i've been rooting for specific players. But i want that to change. Please give me as many reasons you can as to why i should pick the Crew. Right now the Crew are right there with Chicago as the favorites? Why Chicago you ask? I like the atmosphere at the Naperville games, and also really like Beasley, Razov, and Thornton. But the Crew have exciting up and comer Buddle, McBride, and Cunningham, as you well know. This, to go along with the coolest stadia in MLS and a great atmosphere. What should i do? advice would be greatly appreciated
First off. MIA STUD?! Look, I'm not going to tell you to ****off. However, you are immidiately disqualified for fanship in the order of the crew fandom for even considering being a fan of the ************s, er, I mean Fire. If you so choose to repent to the great god of football, sorry, soccer, you may find redemption and on repeal, find a place at the grand table of Crew feifdome. We are simple fans with simple rules. However, these rules can not and will not be circumvented. If you attempt to do so, we will have to send SoccerAndy and Aimer to your house to babble on adnauseum about how dreamy Landon and McBride are. This shall be.
SOD OFF We don't take people that want to have their arses kissed in exchange for becoming a fan. I will say though, if you have hot wife/mom/girlfriend/sister/aunt/cousin/sister in law/niece/female friend from the Gainesville area, I hear there are coeds there that actually do have all 32 teeth, send them to Columbus. We have a friend, his name is Chris Bailey, he's really hard up at the moment and hasn't had a conquest to brag about on Big Soccer for ages. Sorry Chris, had to take the piss.

We don't have pre-teen groupies, moral crusaders (ok, we have one...and we can't get him to leave), or flat out stupid posters. And if we did, we certainly wouldn't admit it. Secondly, this isn't the 4H here; we don't pass notes in study hall (although Chris may still be serving some detentions for that bit he pulled in the girls' locker room, but the less said about that the better) we aren't a fan club ("oooh, I saw Landon at the Mall yesterday - he is SOOOOO dreamy-poo") and we don't like the Fire, we don't like Fire fans and we don't like people who are THINKING about becoming Fire fans. So get on back to the malt shop with Tiffany and Bri. We'll be in the parking lot playing footie and slamming down ridiculously priced beer.

When I first saw it, I thought you were trying to go with Mia's Stud, which while far from acceptable, at least made a little sense (I'd certainly shoot a few in her direction). Second, I found my third sophomore year to be the most enjoyable, so for those of you ripping on the "25 year old senior" part, kindly go fck yourselves.

First off, I have to agree with my fellow Crew fans. You GOTTA change the name. Mia's Stud is ONLY gonna get you ridiculed here. As much as some people here hate to admit it, Chicago does provide great home field support. Their supporters are loud and vocal. They do regrettably get into criminal activity Props to you for liking Beasley. Once the kid puts on some more weight, he'll be a force. Shame he couldn't catch onto any Euro squads this year... but hopefully next. Shame on you for liking Razov. Unless someone sets the friggin ball on his left peg to shoot (i.e. SPOON FEEDING HIM THE BALL), Razov is ************ing useless. Thornton is just a big tub of goo. You should support the Crew. The team, unlike other teams in MLS, does NOT get a lot of help to build the team. We aren't given allocations like other teams. The Crew are forced to really concentrate on building from within, without much help from MLS. They have an exciting stable of forwards as you already know. Buddle and Cunningham will be a FORCE to be reckoned with for the next 5 years. And of course we have our OWN stadium... the TRUE Mecca of American Soccer. Now you just have to renounce your allegiance to the Chicago Fire , plus change your screen name. You'll be fine then!

Yeah, they're called doctors. Classic Tommy Boy folks... Let's use an analogy, most soccer fans use 10% of their brains, you on the other hand use, 1.5% The rest clogged with malt and bong resin. As for the screen name, I think Mia Stud refers to being a big guido stud that supports Miami... no better than other interpretations, but just what I think it means.
well let me tell you, i'm so sorry that my member name doesn't suit you....whatever. As for being 25 and in college, uhh how bout asking before you act? I was diagnosed with a neurological disease at age 20 and didn't take class for 3 years. I didn't realize that being an a-hole was a pre-requsitie for becoming a Crew fan. And it's not like MLS is this insanely profitable league. You guys need all the support you can get. I'm not some teenie bopper fan either....what the hell? I simply wanted to follow soccer after the World Cup and needed a team. Informing the board what teams I'm "leaning toward" should not lead to being so mercilessly ridiculed. I'm new here, and i'm a sports broadcasting major whose relatively new to soccer. In the future, please ask before you act and welcome newcomers.
Mia would probably say he was a Crew fan and accidently fill out the ballot to say he was a Fire fan and then blame it on the technology being too confusing. oops!
Remember a couple of pointers here: You gotta publicly renounce your allegiance to the Fire if you wanna come here As Bill said, Fire supporters are pretty much despised here. If you DO come here on this board, you WILL be made fun of. This board is pretty much MLS Rivalries Light. So wear a cup. You really do gotta change the name.
You mean you didn't get that memo. It's a fragile condition; a psycosis brought own by many years of no hardware and neglect from our league daddys called "Wewannacup." Be careful if you do become a Crew fan like the rest of us you may find yourself yelling out phrases like: "The league screwed us again," "Columbus has always been a .500 team we need to fire everyone associated with the team, except the beer guys(They bring us life) or the dreaded "Rzepa....Rzepa....what the @#$%." Anyways if you checked out this website before you droped in, you'd see that any board with SoccerAndy and Bill Archer is filled with A-holes Here's hoping you formally renounce all ties with Sh!tcago and become another A-hole like the rest of us.
