My ignorance on that topic? You do realize that the media covered for biden being mentally incapable of being president for 4 years and only decided to cover it because the democrats decided they cant win with Biden. But no they all love trump... Let me repeat that, the media followed democrats footsteps in getting rid Biden the same way Clooney somehow didnt see Biden as unhealthy when he raised 28 million until the democrats decided they wanted him gone 3 months later.

The media doesnt cover accusations of child rape because they spent the past 8 years trying to cover any accusation against trump (remember russiagate that a lot of yall claimed was true on this site 8 years ago?) They already lost most of their viewership.

Out of all thing to arguing the media not being straight liberal is one of the most absurd things.

2012 was a different world than post 2016. I just used the most recent data point.

Also he represents chaos and anarchy? Why can't people treat political opposition as someone with different viewpoints and not cartoon villains? That is a big reason why the political climate is so heated at this moment.

Trump IS a cartoon villain. There is no part of that man that deserves any support from anyone unless you need an outlet for meanness and aggression. He has stated multiple times how much he doesn’t care about anyone but himself yet his followers think he has their interests in mind.

He is nothing but a huckster, alway has been.

I shouldn’t be shocked at how gullible his followers are anymore, but I still am.

Trump is the big reason why we’re where we are and have been since 2016. And it’s going to get far worse if he is elected again.

You do have a point, but I think it’s also true that the evil cultish leader can only arise if the hatred that he has a hand in awakening is already in place, and if it wasn’t Hitler who exploited it, it would have been somebody else.

Europe on the 30s was fertile ground for fascism and hatred, it wasn’t just Hitler who rose, but Mussolini, Franco etc.

Maybe if you killed Hitler the next guy wouldn’t have been as evil as Hitler. Maybe…(like you can maybe argue that Mussolini wasn’t as evil as Hitler). But evil is still evil, Mussolini is still evil, and the evil forces that created the Nazi party and other fascist parties in Europe would still be there without Hitler.

I believe there are today evil forces that need to be defeated in the US. Yes, Trump needs to be defeated, but if he is murdered, or is gone a different way, the evil that’s behind him and that he had a hand in awakening is still going to be there to be dealt with.

Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, etc will all still be around sowing their hatred.

Not at all. I just disagree with your position. I admit my response was a little rude. Apologies.

You are more optimistic than I am. I'm not sure MAGA learned anything from January 6th except to plan better and bring more weapons.

Tell that to the North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson who said "Some folks need killing! ... It's a matter of necessity!" Previously he said LGBT+ people were "filth" and compared our relationships to "cow shit".

He doesn't represent it, he causes it.
Trump is a convicted criminal. He's not a cartoon anything. He's the real deal.
The reason it is so heated is because Trump represents an existential threat to this country.

And of course calling people "vermin" is just disagreement with their policies.

Why do people respond to this moron?

I'm trying to remember which leading republican came out to condemn those comments. Can't recall...Oh wait -- nobody did.

Not to mention his childish name-calling of his opponents (Republican and Democrat) and his denigration of various groups (Mexicans are rapists, liberals are vermin, etc.). Things were not nearly so heated until he started acting like a bully.

Anyone who says he hasn't used inflammatory rhetoric from the outset is just gaslighting and not to be taken seriously.

Exactly. And then we have people like Paul Gosar who was censored by a vote of 223-207 for his anime of him killing AOC. Only two Republicans voted for the censor, Lynn Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. That's right, the only two Republicans to vote to censor him have been expunged by the GOP, with the orange fascist calling Lynn Cheney a traitor and calling for a televised military tribunal to convict her.

But Democrats are the ones who need to be careful about what they say because they are raising the political temperature!

A drugged up patsy with half his brain missing tells no tales...

It's one of two things - a tremendous failure by his SS protection team to allow anyone to get an LOS on the president, let alone, from above, and the entire unit should be terminated, or skullduggery is afoot - who knows what Orban passed to him

2020??? Dude. C'mon. That was after he totally mishandles the pandemic. You have data that is...er, current?

No questions asked??? That is simply not true that these stations lean left, much less "overwhelmingly". The fact that you left out Sinclair Media Group shows you know nothing about what you are talking about.

    Frankly, you sound like Boebert.

I think at this point we have to go with SS failure even though one can't rule out skullduggery entirely.

Well ya know, I did NOT make any guesses beyond the "guess" that the Trump side collectively contains some individuals who are crazy enough to try any damn thing.

Mostly I was suggesting that we not discount anything at all until there's evidence to eliminate it; because we live in Bizarro world at the moment, and that is a fact...

I mean, that's probably 99% true - but Trump's post injury behavior is baffling for a 77 year old man with visible cognitive & physical decline
