I've checked the Indemand.com schedule and a couple of online TV guides and haven't been able to find anything to indicate that the Revs/Fire game will be on the Shootout package this Sunday. Can anyone confirm that this is the case and offer an explanation as to why I'm missing the Rev's opener?
Sun. April 13 at Chicago 7:00 p.m. ET FSNE It's televised here in the Boston area As for the Chicago area I have no idea
According to comcast, which is my local cable company, you can order the shootout, but not until early May.
Just peachy ... we get to see the first game on tape delay! But the more I think about it, the more I realize this is an improvement. First couple of games, no TV ... internet broadcast. Season opener, tape delay ... yep ... improvement!
Well, you can look at it as if it was just a later start time like a game on the west coast or Colorado. No big deal. I think it was 2-3 years ago when the Revs opener in Tampa was also tape-delayed...until Sunday morning! Tom
Just dont watch any sports show from 7 on and dont go on the internet at all an you will be all set. it is good for me that it will be taped delayed since I am going to GM 3 of the Bruins series anyway, so now I wont miss a min of the game.
Just to be safe, I'll avoid TV and radio (I've been busted by the casual mention of a score on some random music station too many times), but it's not like the Revs score is going to be headline news. The Master's is this weekend, and that's going to be THE story everywhere. Just an observation about the Boston sports media: my Globe sports section had the NCAA basketball championship result as the 3rd most prominent article on it's front page; behind and article and a column about the Red Sox picking up Pedro's extension (for NEXT year)! Had the Revs opened yesterday, they'd be buried inside for sure. On Monday, the Revs game story will be buried under a slew of Master's articles.
This is all great for you locals. But for us displaced Revs fans, we get nothing. To rephrase my original question.... What is the deciding factor as to whether a game is carried on the Shootout package or not? Because this one isn't.
