Hey all, Does the Shootout package only show the games at their original broadcast time? Or do they repeat them so you can actually watch games that are on at the same time in their entirety, rather than switch back and forth between them? Later, COZ
depends on who you get it through... some regional telecasts are repeated (like fox sports chicago will do that with fire games) and some systems will pick that up for the shoot-out wait for el jefe to come around and post his 2 cents
from what i remember....the shootout will only broadcast live games... the individual networks (after they've been shown live) sometimes show taped games the next day, etc... if you subscribe to the shootout...you get the games...but in order to see the replays, you have to subscribe to the fox sports network channels (fsne, fsny, etc.)
The Shootout shows games one time and one time only, usually live. Now, some channels repeat MLS telecasts (like Fire telecasts on Fox Sports Net Chicago), but most don't. If the game is on a local broadcast channel (like Burn broadcasts on KFWD), then it will certainly not be repeated. Now, if you've got a satellite and you're out-of-market, and you want to watch the repeats, it's a stickier question, since the blackout rules for these repeats seem to change every year. Back when I had DirecTV (1997-2000), you could watch these repeats if you were an out-of-market customer, as long as you were also a Shootout subscriber. But on DISH Network, it's been different. A couple of years ago, you couldn't watch repeats of out-of-market games, even if you were a Shootout subscriber. But last year, you could.
Okay, thanks for the info. I'm thinking it may be more prudent for me to stick with ESPN and FSW this season, what with not having a job and all. Later, COZ
