Ooooooh solo comen gatos Ooooooooooooooooh solo comen gatos, Son los put0s... de Rosarioooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh solo comen gatos Let's give a round of applause to NOB fans who put one of their own in the hospital this afternoon.
I saw a brief segment in FSE (wasn't paying much attention at the time) that there were 2 shootings outside the Monumental where River Plate took on Newell's Old Boys on the opening day of the season . The segment showed a guy interviewing the physician who said someting about the guy being in stable condition and damage to liver, diaphram, etc. What the hell happened? Was this before, during, or after the game? Who was shot (NOB or River supporter)? Is there a particular reason that the fans of these two teams hate each other? I know that Argentina has become notorious for fan violence, how common is stuff like this (shootings and stabbings)?
I hadn't heard anything about this but not a suprise. There was plenty of deaths last season and it certainly isn't getting any better. I'm sure that Infinite Justicia fellow can tell you more...
I have a feeling the dude is making fun of our peruvian brother. His team must of lost to a Peruvian team to have resorted to this.
The NOB busses were ambushed...the NOB fans started shooting and one person was hit in the leg, he was released from the hospital that night. A NOB fan was not shot as originally reported, he was stabbed and is still in the hospital.
So the Newell's supporters shot thier own guy? That's smart. What about the NOB guy who got stabbed (I guess that was more serious), was it a River fan who attacked him?
well that what we call a loose bullet... when a lot of shootings are in the air some times mistakes happens... anyways.. this is ver serious...
Im currently in Buenos Aires and went to the game. The incidents did not occur around the stadium. It seems it happened about 10 blocks away. The NOB buses were coming unescorted (a mistake) and they started exchanging insults with some grups of River fans (not barras bravas) The NOB boys descended from the buses, the River fans started running when suddenly The River hard core fans appeared, there was mayhem somebody shot a NOB fan, somebody stabbed anothe NOB fan. The game in itself was relatively calm escept for the end where some River fans and the NOB section started to exchange some projectiles. The game was a bit dissapointing though.
Well since violence seems to be so common in Argentine football, we can make it a sticky: 'Esta semana de Violencia en el Futból Argentino' or something.
I was (half) watching TV and heard that the teams director was going to be questioned (not sure what team or if this was the same match) because he allowed certain group members to enter the stadium and make these problems. Interesting.
It seems really screwed up down there. I'm sure there will plenty of more incidents and deaths this season. The police can't control it.
What are you, 10 years old? Jesus christ...stay out of it. The NOB directors will be questioned since supposedly the police never got response from them regarding the bus situation. Whatever the case, that's just a smoke screen.
I remember accusations several years ago levelled at the club directors by some football journalists that in some games the clubs would occasionally give free entry to some of these (shall we say potentially violent) groups into the stadium during the less popular matches so that the crowd looked larger on TV. Does anybody know if this occurred or if its still going on?
