Mike-- I've worn adidas pretty much all of my life. I have a pair of German Copas, which are about 2 years old. I've never worn them though because they just look too pretty! I've had about 3 or 4 pairs of Copas and absolutely have loved them. Puma, I don't know too much about. The key, as with all boots, is TAKE CARE OF THEM!!!!! Polish after every match and before every match. I have a ritual ever since I started playing 25 years ago. As with everything, price matters. And with good boots, expect to pay. But, if you take care of them, they'll last. I'm wearing a pair of "Beckenbauer Spezials" which I've had for ten years.

mike- i would have to say dont buy puma's. I had a pair of kings and they are not that great, now Adidas cleats are nice, i got the new Mania's and there sweet but in the end the decesion is yours and try both cleats on see what fits better and feels better.

go for the adidas, name brand actually matters, you can feel the difference. i have a pair of adidas gammanovas. they are great, affordable and very comfrtable and does the job. jus 29 $, was on sale, but if you are looking for something even better then the price range will go up,

You should go to a store and try both pairs out to see which one fits and feels better. Remember, just because one person likes a pair of shoes doesn't mean you will like them. Everyone is different. Good luck .

I have had a few pairs of both boots well not the german copa just the regular one but I did have Adidas profi's which are a jazzed up german copa.

They are both nice boots the puma king will be wider and easier to wear out of the box with out foot pain.

The copa is better for people with narrow feet at least if you plan on wearing right away in a match, if you have wider feet try to break them in first, it will take about three good training sessions before they shape to your foot even if they are the made in Germany ones just because of the last the shoe is made on.

I can't really say which one to go for its all up to personal taste, I for one am a Nike guy where some others swear by adidas or didaora just try the boots on and go from there, good luck.

i am wearing the King Classic Top di in all black that you speak off. The fit is wider then the Copa that's forsure, but I still recommend you buy tighter and stretch them because the Classic Top di's are k-leather.

I'm a person with wide feet, and let me advise against buying narrow shoes and expecting them to stretch. It will take forever, if it happens at all, and it will be very uncomfortable during the process. Uncomfort means something is wrong, and you can end up hurting yourself (cutting off circulation, smashing your toes together, changing your gait which can lead to ankle and knee problems and so on).

The idea of breaking in shoes is old fashioned. You should buy ones that feel pretty good right away, and are just a little tight all over.

I usually like to buy my boots so that they fit me according to length and just soak them in warm water for 20 mins/ and then wear them for how ever long. Then stuff them full of newspaper. I think it's a "tedious" process, but the end results are well worth it.
