Shinji Ono faded away? How is he doing at Urawa? Is there any chance he goes back to Europe? Shame repeated injuries affected his career. He played 1998 World Cup at 18 and after he helped Feyenoord win UEFA Cup in 2002, many big clubs chased him. He is still the most talented (not successful) Japanese footballer ever imo.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? He has his flashes of brilliance, but overall not the same player that helped Feyenoord win the UEFA Cup anymore.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? But you can't expect the quality he showed in Feyenoord. After leaving Feyenoord, he became nobody.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Or on to even greater things. He has the skills, but I reckon he was a more intelligent player on the field as well.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Imo He were a wonderful player.. One of the my favorite Japanese player. Its sad that he left Europe. I wish him best luck at his current club. I will watch FC.Sydney vs Urawa game by the way. Ono. aka; the number 14........
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Mate, I tought the number 14 is what he wear at the National Team Jersey.. my mistake.. he weared number> 18,number 21.. maybe some other numbers too. At the club level ''feyenoord''..you right. >8 Regards iwa
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Is there a any chance> that he try one another final shut for European clubs?..
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? through 12 rounds he started 10 matches and has 1 goal and 2 assists with Urawa. it would be surprising to see Shinji move to another European club. not saying that he is not good enough, because he is realy talented, just that i think he will see more action if he stays in Japan. and Japan might benefit more if he stays.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Ono is certainly technical, but mainly a playmaker. Play-making is an art. It has 2 parts to it - First, amplify the strengths of your teammates. If that isn't enough, grab them by the scruff of the neck and lead them to victory. Ono only has the former. Basically, he is only as good as his teammates let him be. It's a vicious cycle, because nobody will see how good he is till he is with world class players, which won't happen till somebody sees how good he is and buy him. Catch 22 for Ono I'm afraid.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/soccer/eusoccer/headlines/20070523-00000042-kyodo_sp-spo.html frankfurt consider signing with ono, according to today's german newspaper.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? i think you are racist. just go to hell. korean players are just amazing and fantastic arent they?? dont be jealous~^_^
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Hey what's wrong with you? Why coming here just to stir the waters? If you have an argument, please bring it on, otherwise please refrain from ramdoms insults. Korean players might be fantastic (well, some of them), but it has nothing to do with this thread, or with this forum. Perhaps you should post somewhere else about them: here it just makes it look as you want to pick up an argument.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Racist or not... there is no reason to point that out in public. Btw, that's a warning from me to everyone who uses the Japanese forum. Do not agitate other users. I know people get little hot headed with Japanese, Korean, and Chinese politics/history, but if there is a problem, ignore it and report straight to me. When other users retaliates, that's when the thread becomes a mess and problematic.
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? Will Ono shine once again? He's still 27, he may have his last chance yet... Well, I guess it's a wishful thinking on my part, but still...
Re: Shinji Ono faded away? shunsuke is 28 and at the top of his game. ono could just be going through a rough period now, but if he wants to make a move he should make it before he turns 30.
