Hey, i was wondering wot kind of shingaurds u lot ware. i curently ware the ones with the ankle straps on, but i wanna change to the 1's without as i think they luk better. wot do u think i shud do? also, wot kind do all the pros ware?? thanx, chris.
You should definitiley wear gear that makes you look better, the professionals wear whatever matches their skin tone.
Are you REALLY going to spell like that? I got some Brine ones recently that need a "sleeve" to go over them, and I've found that they not only help my socks stay up extremely well, but they tend to stay out of the way. I would rather not use guards at all, but I guess there could be times when they come in handy.
Yeh, but im a defender and im always told to "get stuck in" and a dnt really want a bad injury. wot r these shinpads u got, they sound nice if u liv in the u.k wot shop u get um from??? chris.
i aslo live in the UK so decnt shinpads over here is hard to egt i would like to no were to get good ones form?
I wear these with a sleeve. Very light and not bulky. Also check out the Nike Dri-Fit. Same thing but everything comes in one package. http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductP...Id=1&Section_Id=1059&pcount=&Product_Id=21953 http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductP...d=1&Section_Id=1059&pcount=&Product_Id=138585
I'm actually going to be looking for another pair of shinguards myself... has anyone tried the OSi shinguards? Apparently you wet them and they mold to your shin for extra comfort & protection. I don't know how it works because what if you played when it was wet... would that mess them up? Just curious about them, they don't have ankle guards and you may have to wear a sleeve over them, but I just wanna know if they're decent or not. These are some of them http://www.soccer.com/IWCatSectionV...rchant_Id=1&Section_Id=1876&Sort=Product_Name.
Nike Vapors are the way to go, very light and very comfortable and about eh OSI, they do not change shape when they get wet, only the 1st time and then they harden expect for the cobras, but thats something different
I have a pair of OSi's also. I still use a compression sleeve over it though because I don't want them to move around.
After how much use did they crack? Though I suppose if they crack at all that's just bad enough anyways!
OSi guards are great. Wetness doesn't affect them because they aren't remoldable -atleast they aren't made to be remoldable- and hot water is supposed to be used when molding. I own a pair of Lanzera OSi guards and believe them to be the best guards on the market.
What is the difference between the Nike Vapor Lite guards and the Nike Delta Lite (http://soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=1059&pcount=&Product_Id=138585).
i have a pair od OSI's and i was able to remold them. it was by accident though. i was cleaning them and let them get really really wet. then they became flimsy and i figured id remold them. i guess thsi hasn't happened to you guys or you haven' tried it(or my shinguards just plain suck - but i was able to mold them better teh second time.)
I just got some nike vaporlite shinguards with the dri-fit sleeve. I also got some nike ankle guards. They are not connected to the nike vaporlite shinguards. I want to know if I should wear the shinguards without ankle guards. I think they look better like this because when I wear the ankle guards they make my legs look like blocks. Then again I dont want to get injured, but what are the chances that someone will swing for my ankles. Just looking for someone else's opinion. Thanks. -J9
There is no difference. The look is the only thing that is different. They both weigh 1.8 ounces. I had a tought time deciding too. I chose the nike vapor lite. I just like how they look more. Hope this helps. -J9
