Forget the first foreigner player, can Shinyeongrok beat the odds and will be Korea's first bald superstar?!!!!

    Chaduri doesn't count.

He's completely off Huh's radar now. I don't think he will get a chance again until WC is over. Huh had too much on the line to throw in another wild card. Playing in Turkey/Russia hasn't helped him either.

Both Turkey and Russia have good domestic leagues. Russian Prem is supposed to be the 5th best in UEFA according to some ranking I saw on Fifa or Uefa website.

Turkish and Russian teams play in the Champions League and Zenit are the UEFA cup holders.

Yes, SYR is going to have to play and start scoring some goals to get noticed.

Tom' also signed dude from Incheon United by the name of Park Hye(?) Sung. 20 years old defender.

Nepomniachi said hes not a first-team squad player. They want to "develop him".

Tom' want to sign another player from Korea U-21. He plays on "Arshavin position".

dunno how this whole korean experiment is going to work. Tomsk is a real siberian town. -15/-20°C on artificial turf will separate the men from the boys lol.

I wonder why they're so keen on signing Korean talent specifically? And I feel bad for them training and playing in those kinds of conditions LOL.

Thanks for your news avechkin! Do you have an article for the Incheon United player and the rumors of the Korea U-21? Any feedback on how Kim Nam-Il and/or Shin Young-Rok have fared and what the fans think so far?

20-year-old Korean defender Park Hye Sun (Incheon United) has signed with the Tom Tomsk with a three-year contract. He made a very favorable impression on the Tom's coaching staff in the training and friendly matches during the third training camp of Tom Tomsk in Turkey.

BTW, It seems that both Young-Rok and Nam-Il are doing fine in Tom Tomsk.
Tom had played 11 pre-season games(played teams like BATE Borisov, Lokomotive Moscow, Unirea Urziceni and etc.) and both of them started almost every game. I'm pretty sure they will both be a starter in upcoming season. Tom's first league match will be on March 13th against FK Rostov.

Interesting. Haven't heard of him but there is a defender on the current U-18 Incheon squad named Park Jae-Hyun. I wonder if maybe it was mistranslated. I haven't heard the news in any Korean news outlets yet either...

    Thanks for the update though!

Terrific! Thanks for the update. Shin Young-Rok is almost 100% out of contention for a World Cup place unless something horrific happens but Kim Nam-Il is in the opposite position with almost a 100% guaranteed position as the national team lacks depth at the defensive midfielder position. Both of them getting regular playing time is good news to hear indeed. Hopefully they do their club proud with good performances.

Uh, couldn't read a word of that link but I'll take your word for it.
Always nice to see another Korean expanding their horizons abroad.
Hope the kid get some playing time/experience.

Fans are happy to have a team in RPL. They trust Nepomniachi. Last year Nepomniachi did a lot to save the team.

Because Nepomniachi worked in Korea and also probably because koreans are chip.

There is no way a starting XI player from Czech or Serbian NT is going to play in Tomsk. Only if he is very old and for an absurd money like Koller.

Ah I see, didn't know the coach previously worked in Korea. When does the RPL season start? In the spring/summer?

He returned to Korea, FIFA does not allow him to still play for Tom.

At the initial stage of the negotiation agents representing the interests of Shin Yong-Rock, to convince the leadership of our club, that his transition to "Tom" from Bursaspor "can pass without pain, but actually it was not the case - said yesterday the correspondent" SE " Tomi Yuri Stepanov. - FIFA has not issued a permit for a temporary certificate of international due to the fact that the dispute between the Koreans and Bursaspor "has not yet been completed and a contract player with the Turks is still valid.

I wonder what this means? Can he join a K league club or still under contract w/ Bursaspor? I thought he left because he wasn't getting paid his wages.

Probably wouldn't do too much for his development though. He's still fairly young.

He can not play in K-League or RPL, because a technically belongs Bursaspor, who owed him money.
