meh i bet the coaches at suwon have the same attitude as you two and never give the guy a chance. remember, park js wasn't as big as he was now until he was given a chance
Betting based on highlight reels isn't a smart bet lololol i kid i kid. Sky was just pointing out that you misspelled the kids name.
Just got back from Suwon wc stadium and I asked that specific question to my boss. Appearantly, he is going to be given a lot more playing time along side Edu at the beginning of the year. Nadson will be out for the entire first half of the season still recovering from his ankle injury. Ha Tae Kyun and Shin will be splitting time, but I still prefer Ha because of his dribbling abilities. Seems like they are trying to groom Shin too much and just need to let the kid go out and do what he does best, score goals. What somebody said about giving him a chance is spot on. I think Cha wants to form him into some kind of prodigy though, it is like his project. Also, last year he suffered from an ankle injury for a lot of the year. I don't think he ever had surgery for it and might still bother him a bit.
Suwon should just let him go already... he's not helping the club or himself. I'm sure there are a lot of clubs who want him... say for example Jeonnam.
When you have that much talent, and the money to buy for more, you should also learn to let go a few, something Samsung will never learn. But I really can't blame Cha Bumkeun either. Seongnam literally built their team out of the players Suwon threw away and look at where they are now. Perhaps Samsung should look at letting Cha BK go?
There was an article on what Cha thinks about Young-rok. I recall him mentioning that Shin could probably be the best striker in the country, but that Shin's development is not up to his expectations. He also said, if I recall correctly, that there's some sort of miscommunication with Shin; perhaps its that Shin's play style is different from that of Cha's.
"Probably be" as in right now or become one? Shin Youngrok enjoyed a lot of success in his youth days as a national player so we already know he's not some unheard loser like Cho Jinsoo or Ko Kigoo. I'm sure if given the proper chance to translate his skills to the K-League pitch, ride out his recent struggles and gain experience, the very least he will become will be a useful sub for Suwon. Cha Bumkeun, unlike Kim Ho, hasn't done jackshit in terms of developing his own players, so the very least he can do to earn his paycheck is develop once-a-promised forward into a promised one.
He's starting today. I know I've been a critic for awhile now, but I really hope he steps it up this season. His inconsistency hasn't exactly been something I enjoyed seeing, but he's definitely got talent. This is his break out season, hopefully.
He played well. Protected the ball and created space really well inside the box. Did a good job of keeping possessions and getting a shot off. He's clearly a threat when he has the ball inside the box. And both of Edu's goals came from Shin Young-rok challenging the defenders in the air. He just needs to work on timing his shots because most of the shots he took were blocked by Daejon defenders. That way he doesn't have to yell SHIBAL every time his shot gets blocked
That was pretty freakin' hilarious. I thought he played a great game though. For some reason on Edu's first goal, it looked like there were three players trying to box out SYR. He also made the Daejon goalie make a great save in the second half.
Yea, I thought he played well too. He draws so much attention inside the box because he's so strong and good at keeping possession. Like I said, he does need to improve his shooting a bit. His timing is so predictable and that's why most of his shots get blocked off.
i'd rather have him before park ju young. i know that people have been going ape shiite for park ju young over the last few games, but he's just too weak on the ball for me. shin hasnt been "consistent", but i think that'll turn around as he gets older. his strength and presence in the box is what the knt needs. i like the fact that this gets his face broken every other game but he runs and attacks the ball the same way. he's not gonna develope on the bench, thats for sure
A guy who's way too soft with the ball and a guy who can't keep a ball in his feet to save his life..hmm...which do you pick? Anyways, I don't think the NT needs him as much as Suwon does, not yet anyways. I'd wait until the end of the Olympic to try him out with the big boys.
I wouldn't say that yet, bro. Shin Young-rok does have the physical tools and skills to have quite a future, but as of now, Park Ju-young is still head and shoulders above him. But I WILL agree that Shin Young-rok already has an uglier face than Park Ju-young. Pretty impressive, because trust me, that's no easy task. So props to the Yellow Drogba and his parents.
yeah, he ain't that young no more. I think he could've grown into a better player if he had moved earlier instead of sitting on the bench at Suwon. Look at Shim Young Sung now at Jeju. The kid couldn't do enough in Seongnam now he's starting every match for Jeju and became so much better too.
