Messing: If the powers to be at AEG are having second thoughts relative to the employment of Sakiewicz, then they are a total joke. If Big Brother on the West coast thinks they can own most of the league and micro-manage the individual franchises, they’re wrong. Sakiewicz remains one of a handful young, talented, successful executives in MLS. If his contract expiration was an oversight, that’s inexcusable.

Nick's biggest job by far is to secure stadium financing. If he succeeds, then AEG will probably re-sign him to oversee construction. If the deal falls through, he's gone.

Bradley's our real GM when it comes to anything regarding the product on the field, anyway. What's the rush to get Nick a new contract?

to give nick some credit.....not addressing the stadium issues, the organization, as a whole, is less of a circus show then it was under charlie...

charlie seemed to concentrate on acquiring "brazilians" or one overaged player hoping to fill the stadium to capacity....

nick runs the team like a business...i don't know how much nick/oz/leauge had to do with diallo/serna and the rest of the clowns that wore red and black, but pre-nick, we never had any young american prospects....(except timmaay)....

is there a better gm out there? sure.

do i want a better gm for our team? yes.

but for now, lets see what nick can accomplish with the stadium......which is all business, and nick seems to be a businessman....so i'm ok with that....

lets not forget, nick isn't the one who kept promising us stuff before checking to see if he could deliver, charlie did.

charlie is one of the nicest guys out there...and finding and organizing a place for the superclubs to play is perfect for him...he's a great people guy....helping to build a team from the ground up never seemed to be his talent

Less of a circus? Please, stop giving me that bull. How easily you forget the team last year. It was complete chaos.

Now that Bradley is in, and is def. the director of players acquisitions, etc. has the team gained any credibility in my book. If Nick fails to get the stadium, then he is an even bigger failure then Charlie ever was.

i blame last year on the oz. who couldn't control the egos or create team chemistry.

but i agree that the success or failure of the stadium will dictate nicks rating as a gm...

How can we put the success or failure of the stadium on Nick's shoulder when the faith of a stadium rest on the shoulders of politicians in New Jersey. If they all agree we have a stadium.
