Seems a little premature given the fact that Powell hasn't even been here yet, and this coming from his current coach who would probably love to keep him... It's still early, why is this news?

Powell will know that he has a week to let Wednesday know what he is going to do. Likely that if Colorado don't sell the club to him and let him know that they'll offer him a contract and then agree a contract (all in a week) that he'll be forced to commit to Wednesday and thus you don't get Powell.

    Pretty obvious.

The fact that he has a week to decide makes sense, and is worthy of reporting. The line about him having his mind already made up is speculation at best, and isn't. That's more what I was referring to.

From what I've seen at SWFC the guy is useless.
There has surely gotta be better players out there than powell.
Loads of free agents this summer...
many of them better players than him.

Or, if he doesn't sell himself to Colorado. We aren't desperate, seems like Wednesday may be. I wonder what there chance of promotion will be next year. I'm glad to read that Powell's good enough for Wednesday to want to hold on to him.

The time frame is pretty short. I hope that Powell and Colorado make the right decisions. Shotgun weddings don't generally make for great marriages.
