I don't think I'll be able to stop laughing if Birmingham go down after the fiasco of sacking their manager when they were doing well.
With 15 matches left to play, surely we have enough to stave off relegation... right? IF we can muster points...
Coventry beat Millwall today with a second half brace from Haji Wright, 2-1. If Millwall get nothing from Ipswich midweek, and Wednesday can get a result at the Den come the weekend, that's Millwall squarely in the relegation battle. In other words, Millwall v Wednesday on Saturday would be huge. ... it'll be huge regardless if Wednesday could get something at Leicester midweek. But I can't see that at all.
Got off work and checked the match just in time to see that Vardy had scored their second (and essentially put it to bed). I expected worse than 2-0, to be fair. Sounds like Wednesday were a bit better in the second half, judging by comments and the numbers. Didn't see any of it, though. Brum beating Blackburn didn't help. Let's hope Ipswich and Sunderland do their jobs tomorrow. And a Stoke/QPR draw would be nice. Gotta get something v Millwall, then, come the weekend.
Darren Moore taking over at Port Vale. They're in a relegation battle in League1. Wouldn't be shocked if he took them down, then put together a strong squad and has a good campaign next season. And if he keeps them up, he'll make them stronger for the next campaign. Knows that division, Darren.
Cracking result. Millwall are squarely in it, and you wouldn't bet a nickel on them staying up. Hull city came through beating Udders. Brum and QPR getting wins doesn't help, but that just goes to show how massive the win today was. Not difficult to see this going right down to the wire.
Your chances are very good now, the fact that you've closed the gap shows that you're in better form than the teams above.
I've no idea. I don't recognize most of the names in the line up because I don't watch them anymore. 2 - 1 I'll be back one day though...
You'd be 8th in the table if the season started 16 games ago, keep it up and you'll be easily safe. Considering how things looked a few months ago that's a miraculous turnaround. If only we could have done the same.
Wednesday had an active window, bringing in a handful of loans, most of which (folks are saying) will likely stay on if Wednesday can avoid the drop. Ugbo's tearing it up, though, and should he continue in this form through the rest of the season, you've got to think there'll be others (and probably with more to spend) in for him come the summer.
