i'll be honest, i wasn't exactly sober... so that combined with the utter surprise didn't leave much attention span for accents/dialect. he had to have been a longtime fan, though, 'cause he was wearing a very old secondary jersey. it was the yellow one with the thin black vertical stripes... with the old badge.

not good enough. 2nd spot would seem to be a bridge too far now. gotta do it through the playoffs now, boys. ...and i don't have a good feeling about our chances in that. you know, looking back, it's infuriating to think how safe we'd be if we hadn't played so poorly against the teams at the bottom of the table.
big results today. again, just pisses you off more about last week and not getting it done. alas, we're what? 1 point out from auto-promotion with the blunts losing and us winning today?

just one more, and we'll be doing this in the championship thread next year. COME ON YOU BLUE AND WHITE WIZARDS! apparently, wycombe have only sold a few hundred tickets for this one, so they'll be pushed into that northwest corner wedge, whilst the entire leppings lane end will be opened up to wednesday fans. 38k+ wednesdayites for this one. how great is that gonna be? "... if ya don't phookin' bounce ... if ya don't phookin' bounce, you're a blade! ..." (x38,000)
It's a bit of a hike from High Wycombe to Sheffield, especially when you're already relegated. One more win... one more win... I'd give anything to be there.

sold out the leppings lane end within a couple hours, apparently (and would have done so even quicker if they weren't having nasty website ticketing issues). pushing 40k for a 3rd division match ... that 'sleeping giant' stuff has more than a little truth in it.
we're going up!!! helluva season. just a few weeks ago, playoffs were almost a certainty. well done to everyone at swfc. i can't wait to see some pictures and video.

that's excellent. apparently the wycombe fans at hillsborough were bouncing, as well. simply brilliant end to a cracking season. i came sooo close to getting over this weekend ... that would've been beyond ace. you have to give credit to mandaric. i didn't like megson getting the sack, but there's no way he'd've had them finishing this strong. furthermore, i seem to recall that meggs was voicing a bit of dissatisfaction with the players that he had (or at least who he wasn't able to sign) ... well, if milan felt that there was enough there already to get it done, jones has proven him right. what a run-in. now ... that said, i hope the pigs go up. sorry, but i want there to be steel city derbies next year, as i want to attend one. COME ON YOU SWINE!!
i've seen this debated on other boards, and both sides of the coin have a good argument. i, however, am on the side of wanting them to fail in the playoffs. there'll still be the matches against leeds and barnsley, and it'd be nice for the pigs to be firmly below us for a season. since i've been supporting wednesday, we've always been in the same league or below and i want it reversed for a bit. they can come up next season ... you know, when we're pushing for promotion to the big show.
